What made you want to go into the nursing program even though you have a journalism degree?

I had no passion for journalism, so I started teaching yoga and I realized how much I love to help people heal. Xavier’s MIDAS program is a fast track program into nursing. It’s for people like me who have an undergraduate degree already. I also love that Xavier’s program is holistic based.

Do you find the classes in the MIDAS program hard?

Yes, that’s what I love about them: they’re a challenge, and I love a good challenge. It’s just stressful because I have to get at least all B’s in all my classes to continue in the program.

When you’re stressed with classes, what do you do to relax?

Yoga, listen to music, and hang out with my friends.

Favorite part about Xavier?

How united the campus feels.

What do you hope to accomplish in the future in the nursing field?

I hope to help the field continue to grow holistically.

Fun fact about yourself?

I have done the world’s highest bungee jump and cage dived with giant white sharks in the ocean.
