3 Easy Ways to Make It Through Midterms

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Chapman chapter.

As students at Chapman, we have all discovered the fact that we do not just have midterms week, but we have the lovely time that we like to refer to as midterms season: a time filled with a shit ton of tests, not enough sleep and way too much stress. So as a way to make sure that you still enjoy your time in college, here are a few simple ways to relieve stress and not let the season of midterms get the best of you.

  1. Get organized. The biggest mistake a student can make is not knowing when things are due and when tests are, which can easily be solved by writing them all down in a planner. When you see it down on paper, you are less likely to forget about it, and you can always go back and check if you’re ever unsure.

2. Schedule time to relax. Even if it’s just for an hour, it will be beneficial to you. It will give you time to watch your favorite show or catch up with some friends. That small amount of time will give you the ability to recharge and be ready to study.

3. Celebrate the little victories. After you finish a test, reward yourself with whatever makes you happy, like food or a new purse. You’ll look forward to it after your next test, which will hopefully give you enough motivation to get through the studying.
