5 of the Best Thanksgiving Cocktails to Try This Holiday Season

Whether you’re looking for a way to “wow” your Thanksgiving guests, or simply a way to make the annual family gathering more bearable, these drinks are sure to please. Nothing says the holiday season like apple, caramel and pumpkin flavoring. The best part of these five recipes is that they incorporate all of the festive flavors you crave with your favorite alcoholic cocktail. Enjoy!

1. Caramel Apple Sangria

Ingredients: 

  • 1 bottle white wine
  • 1 bottle sparkling apple cider
  • ¼ cup caramel syrup (or caramel flavored vodka)
  • 4 apples, chopped

Instructions:

First, chill the white wine and sparkling apple cider. Once they are cold, mix the two together. Next, mx in the caramel syrup/vodka (whichever you prefer). You will then chop the 4 apples into small cubes and then add them into the sangria. Finally, put the sangria in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

2. Pumpkin Spice White Russian

Ingredients:

  • 4 tbsp Kahlua (coffee flavored liqueur)
  • 3 tbsp Coffee-mate Pumpkin Spice liquid creamer
  • 1 ½ tbsp vanilla vodka
  • 2 to 3 tsp. canned pumpkin purée
  • Sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice

Instructions:

Mix together the Kahlua, pumpkin spice creamer, vodka and pumpkin purée. Add ice and then sprinkle the pumpkin pie spice on top.

3. Sparkling Apple Pie Cocktail

Ingredients (for each cocktail):

  • 2/3 cup apple cider
  • 3/4 oz. cinnamon schnapps
  • 2/3 cup champagne or sparkling wine
  • Cinnamon and sugar for rim
  • Apple slice for garnish

Instructions:

Combine the apple cider and cinnamon schnapps. Add the champagne and stir. Set aside the drink. Then, mix together a bit of cinnamon and sugar on a plate. Dip the rim of each glass in water, then dip the wet rims in the cinnamon sugar mix to coat. Once coated, pour the drink mixture into the glass and garnish it with an apple slice.

4. Apple Beermosas

Ingredients: 

  • Shock Top or Blue Moon Beer
  • Apple Cider
  • Apple slices
  • Chilled Glass (optional)

Instructions:

This one is easy! Just mix together your choice of beer with the apple cider. Pour over ice and don’t forget to garnish it with an apple slice.

5. Fireball Cider Whiskey Cocktails

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey
  • 1/3 cup apple cider
  • Cherry Grenadine syrup
  • Apple slices
  • Maraschino Cherry (optional)

Instructions:

Fill a glass 1/4 full of ice cubes. Next, pour in the Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey and apple cider. Stir the mixture. Then, drizzle the cherry grenadine syrup on top. Also add in a couple of apple slices and a Maraschino Cherry (this makes one serving). Enjoy!
