January is the month of the dreaded New Year’s resolutions. Here are some beauty resolutions for 2017 that you’ll actually want to keep!

Drink more water

  • H20 helps your body flush out toxins more efficiently, leaving your skin looking fresh and more radiant as a result.
  • Water promotes nail growth and prevents dry, flaky cuticles.
  • It also reduces hair loss.
  • Try to carry a water bottle with you, every day, and everywhere you go.

Take care of your skin

  • Apply SPF daily.
  • Wash your face daily.
  • Use a facial mask as part of your skin routine.

Grow out your brows

  • Avoid waxing.  If you remove the same hairs for a long period of time, you damage the hair follicle, which can slow down or stop growth.
  • Although tweezind doesn’t have as long-lasting effects, it does allow for more precision and you can control how thin or thick you want your brows yourself.
  • Stop tweezing any and every stray hair.

Wash your brushes more often

  • Yes, I have tons of brushes. But I need to wash my brushes on the regular.
  • All of your holy grail skin care products mean nothing if you’re just going to slap makeup on your face with dirty brushes.
  • When you clean your makeup brushes regularly, you are preserving them.

Use up your makeup before buying more

  • This also applies to shampoo and conditioner, body wash, lotion, perfume etc.
  • Give each product a turn this week and more items will get used.
  • Don’t stock up, we like to buy products when they are on sale but try not to stockpile because the stores will almost always have what you need later on.

Declutter makeup

  • Throw out old products.
  • Give away products you are not using (test: try to remember the last time you used it) that are in good or usable condition.
  • What may not be the best shade or formula for you, might work for someone else.

Don’t forget to take a selfie when your makeup is looking bomb.com

  • You’ll regret it at the end of the night when the lighting sucks and you have to take it all off.

Good luck and happy 2017!
