The purpose of the organization is to cultivate meaningful and mutual relationships between students interesting in the PR field and professional PR practitioners in order for professional development and experience for post-graduation. The typical major seen in this organization is Communication with a certificate in Public Relations but the group also encourages Marketing, Advertising, Business and a slew of other majors to join.

Knowledge of public relations and how it works is beneficial in many career fields, in turn the public relations track is one of the fasting growing programs on our campus.

When asked why students should be check out this organization, PR chair Emma Gresser says, “PRSSA is a valuable organization to ANY major! We have resume workshops, socials with notable UC alumni in the area, professional guest speakers that share what their career entails, and much more. Our goal is to have fun and make connections on campus while learning about strategic career goals and how to be the best professional you can be!”

Their next meeting January 31 in TUC room 427 at 12:30PM with their meetings occurring every other week since us Bearcats are busy as can be. Meeting topics are always announced on their social media so be sure to check their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates.
