The Best Dressed on the Red Carpet This Awards Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

Award season is a time of the year where celebrities come together dressed to impress to celebrate their achievements of the past year. This is a great time to see some show stopping outfits and accessories.

The Golden Globes was a start studded celebration of film, with massive wins for Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, Viola Davis, Casey Affleck and many more. Emma Stone looked stunning in a nude Valentino dress complete with metallic silver stars (a nod to the city of stars); and finished with Tiffany & Co. jewellery.

Viola Davis stood out in a beautiful sunshine yellow Michael Kors collection dress, the use of bold colour was a great statement and the dress fit beautifully.

Amy Adams dazzled in a sleek and simple metallic number that really added an element of sparkle to the red carpet. This dazzling dress was designed by her Nocturnal Animals director Tom Ford.

Even Rachel Wood demonstrated that women don’t always have to wear dresses when it comes to the award season and looked amazing in a black Altuzarra suit.

Lily Collins looked like a fairy-tale princess in a beautiful pink floral Zuhair Murad dress complete with a strong red lip and intricate hair style.

There were plenty of amazing outfits at the Bafta’s this year with Sophie Turner being a shining example of that in a silver and black metallic dress with a thigh high split by Louis Vuitton.

Nicole Kidman looked sophisticated in Armani Privé with a plunging neckline and close fitting style that suited her to a T.

Glamourous fashion was not only seen at the film award shows but also at the Grammys. Chrissy Tegan looked stunning in a sheer patterned Roberto Cavalli dress along with Coomi earrings.

Adele looked amazing in a floor length dress in an olive green colour that complemented her beautifully.

Already there have been so many incredible outfits and award season is not over yet, so there are many more to come!
