5 Hairstyles That Will Turn Your Bad Hair Day into a Good Hair Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emory chapter.

Have you ever had a week when you have so much homework and simply don’t have the energy or time to wash your hair? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. What’s most frustrating about weeks like this is that you want to feel put together for all your exams. This is why it’s important to have a few hairstyles up your sleeve that you can use when your hair is gross and oily.

1) The Straight Ponytail

This hairstyle is quick and professional. If you have curly hair, don’t fret! You only have to straighten the ponytail! You may want to add some gel to give it a slicker look, but it’s not necessary. This look will give you the confidence you need to ace those midterms!

2) The Messy Bun

This is by far the easiest and fastest look, and it works with any type of hair! Put your hair into a bun, pull some hair strands out from the front, and loosen the bun so it’s not a tight knob at the top of your head. This will make you look effortlessly put together.

3) The Loose Braid

This hairstyle is similar to the messy bun. Put your hair in a side braid, then pull at the sides of the braid to loosen it. You can also pull out some hair in the front so you have strands framing both sides of your face.

4) Milly Buns

This look is great if you want something different and trendy. You could either go all the way with the hairstyle and put your whole hair into two top buns, or you could put half of your hair up and leave the other half down.

5) The Hat

Finally, when in doubt, put on a hat! A baseball cap is always a go-to. It is very fashionable and most importantly hides your hair!
