Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Gala

Last night was the 2nd annual Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Gala. This gala was held at the Hintz Family Alumni Center from 6-8PM.

 

Simone Yaghi, the SVAP Roundtable Executive Board Director was in charge of putting together another beautiful gala.

The night was filled with delicious food from Nittany Catering Company, performances by the Penn Harmonics, music, mingling, speakers and poems from Penn State Words.

The event raised over $4,000 benefiting the Centre County Women’s Resource Center, doubling what they raised last year and the amount of people that bought tickets and attended the event.

We are so lucky to have been a part of supporting SVAP Week, and cannot wait to do it again in the years to come!

Meghan Maffey graduated from the Pennslyvania State University in the Spring of 2017. She graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in English.

She is majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Business, Women's Studies, and International Studies.
