The 5 Stages of Registering for Classes as Told by Beyoncé

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at George Mason University chapter.

There is no greater stress for a college student than crafting the perfect schedule for next semester, only to watch classes fill up before your registration time.

1. Prepared

You met with your advisor and made your dream schedule. No 8 AM’s and all of the top rated professors. You walk into registration week feeling fierce AF.

2. Anxious

Okay. There’s eight spots left in a class you really need. You try to stay positive but there’s two days until registration opens for you. Now’s the time to make a back-up plan or find the class in a different timeslot.

3. Panicking

Registration is OPEN and it feels a bit like The Hunger Games. You have all the information for your desired classes together in one place to make it go as seamless as possible. Deep breaths!

4. Distress

You got all the classes you want except the one with that great professor. Or maybe now you’re stuck with a night class.

5. Acceptance

Maybe your schedule isn’t that bad! You’ll meet new people and find a new professor you love. Now get ready to enjoy your summer and come back ready to DOMINATE the fall semester.

Happy registration week, collegiettes!
