For those who aren’t aware, Cyber Monday is an all-day shopping event where online stores offer great deals and sales, including free shipping! Cyber Monday comes after Black Friday, the day when there are in-store sales. However, Black Friday has become more of a hassle rather than something that’s supposed to be enjoyable. This is because people have to wait in lines for the doors to open every year, and people can get hurt from this.
Black Friday is supposed to come after Thanksgiving, but lately it’s starting earlier and earlier in the week, and it’s losing its effectiveness. Since we’re in a society surrounded by technology, it’s becoming easier and more convenient to do things online. So, why go to the stores when you can purchase items from the comfort of your own home?
Cyber Monday often has better deals, and that includes free shipping when you spend a certain amount of money. Also, items like jewelry, clothes, and shoes tend to be cheaper online than in-store. Last year on Cyber Monday, I bought an Alex and Ani bracelet for only $14! Now deals like that make sense. Items like makeup products are a great bargain as well. Stores like Ulta and Sephora have awesome sales, so make sure to check those out for makeup lovers!
Why rush after a great Thanksgiving meal to go to the stores where you’ll most likely be utterly underwhelmed? Thanksgiving is a time to enjoy, relax, and spend time with your family and friends, so why waste that precious day worrying about Black Friday the next day? After a meal, it’s more than necessary to take a long nap into the next day and to not have to worry about missing out on sales. Cyber Monday is so great because after a day of feasting, it comes just in time to start thinking about the holiday season and to start with the shopping and gift-giving!
