30 Ways to Spend 30 Minutes with Yourself

Believe me, for your mental health, you need to take 30 minutes for yourself, daily!

There are 1440 minutes in a day. Out of almost all of those minutes that the sun is up, you are too. You are busy hustling from here to there. Chances are you are busy with school, work, friends, keeping up with your family, trying to get a healthy meal in and so much more. You are one busy gal!

But read carefully, and read clearly. You need to take a short break from all of your running. Spend that short break doing something for yourself. Here are 30 different ideas that you could do daily to refresh yourself!

1. Nap – that’s all that needs to be said, a 30 minute nap will surely refresh you

2. Color – adult coloring books are a glorious thing

3. Morning Message – create a message that you can read yourself daily, a message that will give your strength and courage to get through the day

4. Yoga – on your own or in a class, stretch them muscles

5. Call Home – whoever your home might be, it’s okay to call them 7 days a week

6. Write – write about anything, the goods or the bads of the day

7. Make the bed – fluff the pillows and straighten up our comforter so when you get home your room and bed is ready to enjoy

8. Smoothie – a smoothie can solve world problems, blend it up and enjoy, don’t forget the spinach!

9. Jam session – sing out loud and dance around

10. Gratitude list – list reasons why your are grateful for each day

11. Volunteer –  a short half hour of service will leave you with an even larger heart

12. Watch the sunrise – wake up early enough to watch the sun rise in the morning

13. Burn a candle – burn it and sit and relax

14. Have a chocolate – yes, you always deserve a little chocolate and a break from life

15. Squats – one squat per 30 minutes, you will be getting toned in no time

16. Popcorn – a healthy snack break to take at any time

17. Read – start that book you have been picking up every time you walk into Barnes & Noble

18. Paint – may it be little or small, paint a canvas that you can call your own

19. Bathe with a bath bomb – the colors and smells will be an absolute treat

20. Perfect your makeup – take a dedicated 30 minutes on your makeup in the morning to get you through the rest of the day

21. Face mask – enjoy a face mask to wrap up the day

22. Try a new recipe – find a new food and take some time to cook it up, not only will it be fun trying something new, there’s a 50/50 chance it will taste amazing

23. Organize – it’s completely normal to have more than one junk drawer, taking 30 minutes a day to organize things around the house will help you feel so much more organized

24. Walk – take a 30-minute walk around the block to gather yourself

25. Run – props to you darling, this will surely make you feel good

26. Write a letter – everyone loves getting mail. Simply write a quick note and walk to the mailbox to send it off to a dear friend

27. Breakfast – spend a little time in the morning with a good meal to start the day out right

28. Paint your nails – wouldn’t it be a dream to match your nails to your outfit daily!?

29. Sleep – get into bed earlier than your normally would, spend those minutes on precious sleep

30. Something you have been wanting to do – absolutely anything that will make you happy
