Lush Products To Use If You’re Not A ‘Bath Person’

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Nottingham chapter.

We all know Lush or have at least noticed it from a distance because of the strong sweet smell that lingers on for miles. Lush is a bath and body cosmetics brand that create fresh, handmade products all made from great quality, natural ingredients, which means they smell divine.

Lush are great example of a company doing their part for the planet as they also fight animal testing, believe only in ethical buying, only make products that are 100% vegetarian, have a huge selection of products that are vegan, ensure that their packaging is made from recycled material and can be recycled again, and try their best to cut down on materials that harm the planet (such as plastic!).

They do this wherever they can by creating innovative products like solid shampoo which doesn’t need any packaging! Yep, you’ll find no unnecessary plastic packaging going on at Lush unlike many other brands who seem to be boxing their products in more and more plastic each time they release a new product.

There are many who are big fans of Lush and you’ll often see them stocking up on their favourite bath bombs and bubble bars, but, if you’re not really a ‘bath person’ and prefer a cleansing shower, then you probably don’t bother even going into Lush. We’re here to show you that Lush aren’t only about bath bombs so you can still enjoy these other great Lush products.

1. Honey I Washed The Kids Soap

First up is a firm favourite, ‘Honey I Washed the Kids!’. This is more than just your average bar, as it’s essentially crème brûlée in the form of soap. Made with honey, aloe vera gel, sweet wild orange and bergamot oils, it’s incredibly soothing even for sensitive skin. Plus, it smells of caramel and looks so cool with a piece of honey comb at the top. If it was edible, we’d be eating it!

2. Cupcake Face Mask

Next is one of my personal favourites from Lush which I’ve used many times. This is a delicious face mask and I not only say this because it looks and smells exactly like chocolate but, honestly, once again I’m always tempted to eat it! This contains ingredients like Rhassoul Mud, mint, and cocoa butter to deeply cleanse, tone, and moisturise the skin. Is there a face mask that can beat that?

3. Ocean Salt Scrub

This is ‘Ocean Salt’, a fresh sea salt scrub that can be used both on the body and the face. We would recommend the alcohol-free version as alcohol can really dry out the skin, especially in colder weather, whilst this version contains a lot more gentle ingredients than the other scrubs. It contains rich and silky ingredients like avocado butter, coconut oil and seaweed to refresh, revitalise, and nourish the skin while also exfoliating and giving the skin some moisture too. Sounds perfect to be honest!
