George Mason has so many resources available to students on campus. One thing particularly special about this campus is that there are a wide range of places for students to study. That way it doesn’t get monotonous just going to a library every time you need to study for a big test or just to do homework because you can’t focus in your room. Here are 5 places, among many, that you can go to study peacefully by yourself or with a group.
1. Fenwick Library

Libraries are always the best place to head when you need some quiet time to study for an exam. Fenwick is a prime spot to go study with or without friends. On their website, you can even reserve group rooms to study in. Just remember, the noise level is different for each floor. The top floor being completely silent and the second floor being quite noisy.
2. Johnson Center
This is the perfect place to study if you’re planning on grabbing a bite of food at the new Chipotle or a shake at Steak N’ Shake. Most people study on the second and third floors. Just like Fenwick, rooms can be reserved to study in. The environment is totally different from Fenwick due to the food court and many events that take place in the building. You never know what you may find at the Johnson Center. It has Panera and a library to get your mac and cheese fix while you cram for midterms.
3. Academic halls
There are many halls on campus that have study areas for the students. For the most part, they tend to be a peaceful environment to study in. I recommend Peterson Hall and Exploratory Hall. Peterson Hall is brand spanking new, so typically, they have the best (most comfortable) seats. Both halls appear to be designed for comfort though and have plenty of tables and booths for students to sit and do work.
4. The Hub
Here me out. I know the music is sometimes loud in the Hub coming from the gaming room, however, it’s a nice spot to study in. Whether you want to study in the upper level of the building or go outside and sit at one of the tables, there’s always an open spot. This is a prime suggestion if you’re going stir crazy in your room all the time studying. Go get some sunshine!
5. Dorm

This is the ideal place to study, really. The school even put a small desk in your dorm room for you to work at. Now, I know, sometimes your roommate is loud or the people on your floor are loud and obnoxious but the residence halls also have common rooms where people can hang out or study. I recommend going there if you don’t want to travel outside of your residence hall.
