Flash back to the first day of school freshman year. Scared, unsure and overly excited was all I felt as I started my college career. Speed up to now, a senior in college, suddenly freaked out that four years have flown by in a blink of an eye. Adulthood is slowly approaching and I’m not so sure I’m ready for it. Four years sound like a long time to be living somewhere and creating a life, friends and a temporary place to call home, but time whips by when you’re having fun. College has been full of experiences and memories I am forever grateful for. It’s allowed me to grow by teaching me a lot about myself—one being how to cramming for a midterm. It’s had its fair share of ups and downs and moments of doubt, but nevertheless, I have made it to this point.

Here are the roller-coaster feelings and phases I experience every time I realize I’m in my last term of school:

1. Wait, I have to graduate?

2. But the real world is terrifying.

3. I can no longer live one block from my friends.

4. I have to navigate a new place, a new job and find new friends.

5. At least I won’t have homework.

6. Okay… maybe change isn’t so bad.

7. There’s no way to stop it, might as well embrace it.

Hi! I'm Hailey. I am a senior at the Unviersity of Oregon studying Advertising. I am a workout nut and a Certified Personal Trainer at our campus REC center. In my free time you can find me outside, either hiking, biking or exercising. I am also completley obsessed with the fashion industry and will hopefully be going into Fashion Merchandising and Marketing in the near future.
