We’re down to one week before the biggest event at SAU. It’s the ultimate time to prep for pregaming and drinking all day. Even though you purchased the $15 wristbands, it’s most likely you won’t get a cup of jungle juice/mixer or beer from a keg at any house, unless your VIP. They run out pretty quickly. The best plan is to make your own drinks, you’ll have plenty for the rest of the day and night. Here are a few recipes you can easily make with your group of friends:

Jungle Juice

– 4 parts Vodka & White Rum

Smirnoff is a good choice. If you’re really on the college budget, Hawkeye is one of the cheapest but it’s unsettling to the stomach. Add a little of Malibu for extra flavor.

– 2.5 parts Fruit Juice

Orange juice or Hawaiian punch are usually the go-to and most popular.

– 3 parts Sparkling Wine or Beer

This is an option, you don’t have to add any other alcohol to your jungle juice. Simply add Sprite or sparkling cranberry.

– 1.5 parts lemonade or limeade

– Add sliced fruit (oranges, strawberries, raspberries, pineapple)

Jello Shots

Pink Lemonade

– 2 packets of unflavored gelatin

– 1 cup pink lemonade

– 1/2 cup regular vodka

– 1/2 cup lemon vodka or Lemon Eddy

– 5 lemons

Buying actual lemons can be a substitute to buying cups. You can pour the mixture in half cut lemons. Click here for step by step directions.

Red, White and Blue

– 1 1/2 cups boiling water

– Vodka of choice

– 1 pack of Blue Jell-o

– 1 pack of Red Jell-o

– 1pack of Knox unflavored gelatin

– 1 cup milk

– 3 Tbsp sugar

– 1/2 Tbsp vanilla

This screams House Crawl theme. House Crawl is all about showing pride with red, white and blue. Go big or go home. Click here for step by step directions.

Mimosa

– 1 bottle chilled sparkling wine

– 3 cups orange juice

– 1/2 cup (120 ml) Grand Marnier or triple sec (optional)

House Crawl starts bright and early. Every student on campus will wake up at 8 a.m. (for some girls, they’ll have the urge to wake up earlier, depending on how long it takes to get ready). This is the perfect starter to your group of girlfriends. As you get dressed and put makeup on, you’ll want to take sips to get you started.

*Remember to drink responsibly and bee safe. Most of all, have fun. It’s the best time to darty it up before hell week (finals).*
