5 Autumn Date Ideas That’ll Make You Fall Even Harder

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

It’s officially the pumpkin spice, warm sweaters and jack-o-lantern season. There is no better time to go on a cute and festive fall date with someone you love. Just because the Florida weather screams “summer” doesn’t mean you have to! Celebrate fall with these fun date ideas.

1. Visit a Local Farmers Market

Exploring a local farmers market can make for an amazing fall date. There’s plenty of people around and things to do, there’s no way it won’t be a success. Orlando’s Farmers Market at Lake Eola Park is extremely close and is a date you won’t ever want to end. You can shop for fresh seasonal produce, homemade crafts and artwork, or eat some of the delicious food they have every Sunday. It is also very dog friendly, so you are more than welcome to bring your pups along! Take a stroll down the lake, set up a picnic, or ride a Swan Boat for a little alone time.

2. Pumpkin Patch/Pumpkin Carving

Nothing says fall like visiting a pumpkin patch and picking out the perfect pumpkin. Bring your significant other for a cute and IG-worthy date and then compete to see who can carve out the best looking jack-o-lantern!

3. Halloween Horror Nights or a Day at Disney

One of the best ways to bring in the Halloween spirit is spending a night at a haunted house. This scary and frightening environment makes for an experience neither of you will forget (plus, it’s perfect to get closer to your partner)! There are plenty of haunted houses around, but Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights is the perfect excuse to get to know someone (and maybe cling onto them for dear life).

If getting spooked isn’t your thing, another great date idea could be a day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. For the months of fall, it’s decked out in Halloween decor and is the most picturesque way to celebrate the fall season. Not only is it super cute, but it’s a very happy and exciting environment to spend time with someone you love.

4. Halloween Movie Marathon

A Halloween movie marathon is probably the most common, yet most satisfying way to bring in fall. From movies like the Halloweentown series to classics such as Hocus Pocus, or an exciting thriller like A Nightmare on Elm Street, you cannot go wrong. You could even set up a projector and create your own little home-theater. Grab some popcorn and your favorite candy and make this your perfect fall date night.

5. Get Lost in a Corn Maze

I can’t think of a better first date than to get lost in a corn maze together. Long & Scott Farms corn maze is about an hour outside of UCF and is very reasonably priced! On this date, you have plenty of time to get to know each other and you will most likely be alone the majority of the time, which makes for a very romantic and fun night.
