Beauty Products to Add to Your Christmas List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Quinnipiac chapter.

Here are a list of 7 beauty products to add to your Wish List this holiday season!

1. BioClarity- Clear Skin Routine

When I started college I noticed a big difference in my skin.  As a result of stress, not eating as well, and accidentally sleeping in makeup (we are all guilty of that one) my skin felt like it took a major hit.  Previously, I was using a gentle soap but I felt like I needed a stronger facewash along with a skincare regimen.  The key to clear skin is consistency, meaning you should use the same products twice a day in order to develop a routine.  BioClarity’s clear skin routine has cleared my skin, reduced redness, and helped fade acne scars.  I love using BioClarity because it is uses natural products such as cucumber, green tea, chamomile, oat kernel, and Floralux which is packed with antioxidants and derived naturally from Chlorophyll.  It is also 100% vegan and cruelty-free.  If you are looking for a skin care routine that is good for your skin and the earth, try out BioClarity! Also, shout out to my bestie Caroline for recommending this!

2. Sun Bum 3 in 1 Leave in Conditioner

Last summer, I worked at the beach and my hair was constantly in the sun, ocean, and sometimes would get covered in spray sunscreen.  With this, I worried my hair would dry out and become damaged.  I stumbled upon this secret weapon in a local store and I absolutely love using it.  This leave in conditioner detangles, conditions, and protects hair.  It also helps manage frizz, protect against split ends, and leaves your hair feeling smooth.  Sun bum smells like a delicious mix of bananas and coconut and has left my hair incredibly soft.  This product is sulfate free, paraben free, vegan, cruelty free, and UV-Protecting.  I also recommend Sun Bum shampoo, conditioner, lip balm, and sunscreen!

3. Clearasil Overnight Spot Patches

Clearasil Overnight Spot Patches is my favorite way to fight blemishes.  Each package contains two sheets of small spot patches.  Stick one of these bad boys on a blemish overnight and remove it in the morning.  By using this patch, inflammation is reduced and it helps absorb the oil and secretion from the blemish.  Also, by leaving this patch on overnight, it ensures constant treatment, as well as a barrier so that you don’t keep touching the blemish.

4. Mario Badescu Chamomile Eye Cream

Until last year, I never used eye cream.  I did not understand the point of eye cream and I was not sure what kind or brand to use.  While buying other Mario Badescu products, this chamomile eye cream came as a sample so I decided to try it out.  This eye cream is very light weight, contains antioxidants vitamin A, vitamin E, and chamomile extract.  Once I began using this product regularly, my life was changed.  My skin felt moisturized and refreshed.  This is definitely the eye cream to use if you are looking for a sensitive moisturizer for refreshed looking skin.

5. T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel

Last year, I began using witch hazel on my face and I noticed a significant decrease in inflammation.  Witch hazel contains many antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that gently cleans even the most sensitive skin.  Use this product as an astringent after cleaning your face to help fight acne, oily skin, and reduce the appearance of pores.

6. Shea Moisture African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask

Shea Moisture’s African Black Soap Mask draws out dirt and absorbs oils to help clear blemished skin.  This mask is made with natural and organic ingredients such as tamarind extract, which exfoliates and brightens skin, as well as tea tree oil which heals troubled skin.  I love this face mask because it is gentle and does not cause any irritation or tightness.

7. Hempz Exotic Green Tea & Asian Pear Herbal Body Moisturizer

Not only does this lotion smell amazing, but it immediately softens for healthy looking skin.  It contains pure hemp seed oil, green tea extract, pear extract, acai berry extract, Goji Berry Extract, Vitamins A, C, E, and B5.  The hemp seed oil also provides anti-aging qualities making skin look firmer and more toned.  Hempz lotion is 100% vegan, gluten-free, and paraben free.
