When the temperature gets a little cooler and the leaves start changing colors, the best season of all has arrived. There are countless reasons to love this time of the year and this guide will help you make sure you don’t miss out on any necessary fall activities to enjoy the season to the fullest.

Tailgating/Football Games

College students love it, alumni love it, and football fans all over the world do, too. Maybe it’s the anticipation for the game or the joy of representing your school/team, but there is an undeniable bliss when tailgating season starts up. Wear your favorite gear and get your favorite people and have a good time before the next game you go to.

Cider Mill/Apple Orchard

My favorite fall activity of all is visiting cider mills. Hours go by like minutes here because there’s so much to do. Some of my favorite things include enjoying some fresh, cold apple cider and pumpkins and apple picking. You can also check out the corn mazes and even go on a hayride.

Haunted Houses

Although my success rate for a good scare at haunted attractions has been very low, I like to go every year in hopes of finding a good one and for the experience. Even if some aren’t too scary, many have multiple attractions in one and they can be so much fun.

Halloween

You may grow out of going trick-or-treating, but you don’t grow out of dressing up for Halloween quite as quickly. Coming up with costume ideas can really bring out the creative side of you— and if you have a group of friends or a significant other, it could be fun to pair costumes!

Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween

Every other time of the year, I reminisce about being inside under a blanket, drinking something warm and watching Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween. My personal favorite Halloween Movie is Hocus Pocus and I don’t think the year will come when I’ll get tired of watching it. This is a perfect activity for a chill, relaxing night in.

Pumpkin Carving

No if’s, and’s, or but’s about it— one day has to be set aside for pumpkin carving. It’s basically two activities in one: getting to go to the pumpkin patch to pick some and then coming home and carving them. This is just another activity to bring out your creative side and things can certainly get messy, but that’s the fun in it.

Here’s to pumpkin spice flavored everything, pretty colors, and spooky season. May this season bring you plenty of joy and peace.
