The time we all dread is almost here… midterms. It’s definitely hard to stay focused for midterms with this beautiful fall weather and the activities that come along with it, such as pumpkin and apple picking. Midterms week can definitely be stressful, but here are 5 tips that will help you survive midterms:

1.Take Breaks: Studying hours and hours for one midterm can be exhausting, so make sure to take breaks in between! A quick drive to Jennings beach or a walk around campus is a perfect way to escape studying and enjoy the beautiful scenery. If you’re exhausted and studied for too long, your brain won’t take in all the information!

2.Time Management: Another tip is to try to manage your time by completing other assignments as soon as you get them. Then you can spend time just studying for midterms without stressing about other assignments. Make sure to prioritize and study for the most challenging tests first and set a certain amount of time for each thing that must get done.

3.Make a To-Do List: Making a to-do list will definitely help keep you organized, and there is nothing more satisfying than crossing each thing off of the list! Study Guides for each test will also be beneficial and save you time flipping through your notes.

4.Go to Office Hours: Going to Office Hours will not only help answer final questions before the big test but also will make you look good if you show your face to the professor out of class! Another option other than office hours is to study with a study group who will help motivate you. Remember, everyone is in the same boat!

5.Stay Calm: Although it’s difficult, try to remain calm and make sure to get the ideal amount of sleep. Maybe do a face mask the night before and treat yourself to a pint of Ben and Jerry’s!

Although midterms are ~extremely~ stressful, they will be over before you know it! You got this!
