Living during a global pandemic, starting a new semester of college, and adjusting to the new standards of living in our everyday lives is incredibly stressful to our physical, emotional, and mental health. To anybody reading this, I advise you to truly take time to take care of yourself.Ā Ā
Taking care of yourself can be implementing more fruits and veggies into your diet to give you more energy and make you feel better, but it can also be eating a pint of Ben and Jerryās ice cream while watching a good movie with the people you live with (I am lucky enough to live with some of my college best friends!).Ā Taking care of yourself can be waking up early and working out by going for a walk or a run. On the other hand, it can also be allowing yourself to sleep longer because you know your body needs the extra rest in order to feel rejuvenated.Ā
The act of self-care depends on you as an individual and requires you to know what your body and mind need in order to feel relaxed. Take the time to know what relaxes you!Ā I hope this article was a helpful reminder to take care of yourself. We are all living through an unprecedented time and could all use a little time to take care of ourselves.Ā
