The Her Campus National Editors write about products we love and think you’ll love too. Her Campus has affiliate partnerships, so we get a share of the revenue from your purchase. All products are in stock and all prices are accurate as of publication.

At Her Campus, everything we do is focused on serving college students and empowering the next generation of women. While we test beauty products with them in mind, the HC editors — naturally — have a few of our own favorites that we just couldn’t leave out. Read on for the skincare, makeup, hair products and more that have an undeniable x-factor and get ready to clear a shelf on your vanity ASAP.

Splendid Dirt Nutrient Mud Mask with Organic Pumpkin Puree

FarmHouse Fresh, farmhousefreshgoods.com, $25; shop now

This is my go-to mask for when my skin is acting up. Whether I’m struggling with breakouts or just craving a facial, this mask does the trick. One use leaves my skin feeling totally detoxed, refreshed, brightened, and tightened. Plus, the pumpkin scent is absolutely perfect for fall! – Madeleine

Find Clarity Purifying Mask

Target

Versed, versedskin.com, $10; shop now

If I had use one word to sum up my skin this year, it would be “maskne.” When my breakouts are out of control, I get out this clay and charcoal-based mask to @ my problem skin. I use it both as a full-face mask and a spot treatment, and it always draws out the worst of my blemishes, leaving my face clean and bump-free. – Gina

Facial Therapy: Hydrate & Repair

Miami Beach Bum

Miami Beach Bum, miamibeachbum.com, $48; shop now

I’ve recently become OBSESSED with Miami Beach Bum. Women owned, made in the USA and certified cruelty-free, their Facial Therapy: Hydrate & Repair cream has been a godsend, soothing my most persistent dry patches overnight (and thanks to the Lemongrass, I couldn’t smell fresher). They also offer lotions, a natural insect repellant and a leave-in conditioner designed to protect your hair from the sun, salt and chlorine (and as a bonus, this tee is the softest shirt I’ve ever owned). – Sammi

T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum

Sephora

Drunk Elephant, sephora.com, $90; shop now

Talk about a holy grail. I credit the disappearance of my acne scars to this product and this product alone. It’s light on the skin, doesn’t burn at all, *and* leaves skin feeling soft to the touch. As far as chemical exfoliators go, this is the absolute best. – Maddie

Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder

Sephora

Charlotte Tilbury, sephora.com, $45; shop now

I was a bit skeptical when everyone starting raving about this powder…and then I tried it. It is quite honestly like applying a filter to your skin. It blurs pores and fine lines, it doesn’t get cakey, and it sets the face so well that your foundation and concealer aren’t going anywhere. – Maddie

Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush #7

Sephora

It Cosmetics, itcosmetics.com, $49; shop now

My all-time favorite product I met in 2020 is this makeup brush. Before this, I was so fed up with my other makeup brushes not wearing well that I often resorted to using my hands to apply foundation. I’ve been using this same brush for nearly six months now and it still looks and feels like new after each use and wash! – Madeleine

Tarteist PRO Glitter Liner in Rose Gold

Tarte, tartecosmetics.com, $24; shop now

I know the rose gold trend has kind of quieted down, but I’ll always be partial to the color. I’ve been OBSESSED with the tarteist PRO glitter liner in rose gold for forever, and stocked up on it years ago when I thought it was going to disappear soon. One end is a liquid, shimmery rose gold color, and the other is a rose gold glitter, both perfect for summer days and fall nights! Bonus: Tarte also has my favorite black eyeliner, this double sided pen with a regular pencil and a waterproof liquid! – Sammi

Vice Lipstick

Sephora

Urban Decay, urbandecay.com, $19; shop now

I have Urban Decay’s Vice lipstick in about 20 different shades. The sheer and cream shades don’t dry my lips out at all, while the mattes pair really well with Chapstick or gloss to keep them hydrated. Every color I own is so vibrant, and even though they’re not marketed as long lasting, I can go all day with some of them – especially Menace! – Sammi

Detox Shampoo

Sephora

OUAI, sephora.com, $30; shop now

As a faux-blonde, I use a lot of products to keep my hair toned and styled throughout the week. But guess what! My hair is extremely damaged. So, when this shampoo debuted, it totally changed my shower game. The powerful formula cleanses away all the oil and gross buildup, and leave my hair feeling even fresher than when I leave the salon. On the days I don’t use a purple shampoo, I swap in this. – Gina

Scalp Scrub

Rooted, walmart.com, $10; shop now

I am a frequent dry shampoo user and literally nothing gets my scalp as clean as this product. It removes alllllll leftover product buildup — I’m talking weeks’ worth of junk in my hair. Not only does it remove the bad stuff, it leaves my hair so soft and clean that when I follow up with shampoo after, the lather is unreal. 10/10 will never go without this product ever. – Maddie

Custom Hair Mask

Function of Beauty, functionofbeauty.com, $20; shop now

From the personalized formulas to the playful stickers, I’m obsessed with just about everything from Function of Beauty. But if you haven’t tried customizing your own hair mask yet, 10/10 would recommend. This weekly treatment is the intense burst of care my hair needs to heal damage from bleaching. Love being in the healthy hair club! – Gina

Gold Lust Dry Shampoo

Oribe, nordstrom.com, $48; shop now

In most cases, I can never really tell if dry shampoo is actually doing anything for me. I’m usually left with a weird texture on my roots, and it feels more like I’m covering up the grease instead of neutralizing it. (Is dry shampoo a scam? Am I doing it wrong? Who knows?!) But Oribe’s Gold Lust Dry Shampoo is a miracle worker. It’s lightweight — actually leaves my scalp feeling clean — and it smells AMAZING. – Sammi

Body Moisture Whip

Ulta

Coco & Eve, cocoandeve.com, $37; shop now

I like to get whimsical with body lotions. Yes, I love hydrating and skin-loving ingredients, but I also love yummy scents that make me smell either like food or a tropical vacation. This new debut by Coco & Eve checks all those boxes for me and more. – Gina

Aluminum-Free Natural Deodorant Stick

Target

Schmidt’s, target.com, $7; shop now

I rolled my eyes over the ~natural deodorant~ argument for years, but I recently made the switch to Schmidt’s natural deodorant and I’ll never look back. It may be a few dollars more expensive than Secret, but it’s certified aluminum and cruelty free, with no additional, potentially harmful fragrances added. It comes in a variety of scents (my favorite is the Bergamot & Lime) and lasts all day. Plus, it’s made with coconut oil, which can help soothe unfortunate instances of razor burn! But the best part is it’s available at Target. – Sammi
