If you haven’t discovered Sally’s Baking Addiction, now is the time! The baking website has the perfect recipes for any occasion — especially for avoiding your homework and responsibilities like me. Here are some of my favorite recipes I’ve tried from the site!

Chewy Oatmeal M&M Cookies

These are some of the most delicious M&M cookies I have ever had. Instead of 1½ cups of full-size M&M’s, I use  ¾ cup each of mini M&M’s and mini chocolate chips. When I made these, I didn’t have any molasses on hand, and they still turned out rich and gooey. I suggest refrigerating them for an hour or two (like the recipe calls for) so the cookies don’t spread too much.

Soft & Thick Snickerdoodles

This was the first snickerdoodle recipe I ever made, and they were absolutely delicious. Be sure not to overcook them or they won’t stay soft through the second day. They will seem a bit underdone when you take them out, but if you let them sit on the cookie sheet a little bit, they will settle perfectly. Best to eat them hot with a cup of cold milk!

Banana Bread

This is hands down the best banana bread I have ever tasted. I use sour cream instead of greek yogurt, over-ripe bananas (right when you think you should throw them away, then they are perfect) and, instead of using nuts, I sprinkle the top with chocolate chips right before I put the pan in the oven. Definitely listen to the direction to cover with foil halfway through cooking — it leaves the top a perfect golden brown.

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Super easy to make and perfect for breakfast! I use sour cream instead of yogurt, and I always make sure my ingredients are at room temperature like the recipe suggests. I definitely recommend drizzling some of the vanilla icing on top after it comes out of the oven — it gives it that perfect bit of sweetness.

Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal Cups

These are super easy to make at the beginning of the week for a quick breakfast when you are running out of the door. Just warm them up in the microwave for a few seconds, and they taste just like they’re fresh. I made them once as-is and once with banana and chocolate chips instead of apples and applesauce.

Sally’s Baking Addiction is just one of the many recipe websites I have tried but continues to be one of my favorites. Take some time between studying to make yourself something yummy; it’s the best form of self-care!
