‘North Of North’ Star Anna Lambe Has The Perfect Spring Break Destination For You

Believe it or not, spring break is right around the corner, and if you’re already thinking about where you’re going to go for your next getaway, North of North star Anna Lambe has a recommendation that might help inspire you. Whether you’re simply looking to escape campus for a few days or need a full change of scenery, Lambe’s ideal spring break destination is all about slowing down and getting a little closer to nature.

Ahead of North of North‘s Season 2 premiere on Netflix on Nov. 5, Lambe took the Her Campus Final Exam, answering questions about everything from her favorite books and music to her dream vacation. When asked about her ultimate spring break destination, the actress reveals that she’d love to go to Wales. “I really want to go on a knitting excursion where you kind of go and spend time with other people traveling around to different farms where they shear sheep and process wool,” Lambe explains.

For Lambe, Wales is already one of her favorite travel destinations. She describes loving the country’s moody atmosphere, especially the ocean mist, waves crashing against cliffs, and even the smell of sheep in the distance. But for students, Lambe says a dream spring break vacation isn’t necessarily about visiting major tourist attractions or spending thousands on an international getaway. Instead, it’s about the charm of small towns and the experiences that come with exploring antique shops, local cafes, and finding nearby lakes, oceans, and rivers. Whether it’s an afternoon browsing a small town shop or taking a peaceful walk outside, she believes that some of the best travel experiences come from simply being present.

But perhaps the best part of Lambe’s spring break recommendation is that you don’t have to actually book a trip to Wales to recreate the experience. During the interview, Lambe encourages viewers to reconsider the idea that traveling somewhere far away is the only way to gain meaningful experiences. “We spend so much time thinking about going far away because that’s what’s going to give us the experience that will make us better, smarter, and more traveled people,” Lambe said. “But you can also get that just by going somewhere accessible by car or by train and actually engaging with the community that’s there.”

And for college students with already limited budgets, that’s a reminder worth taking into spring break planning. So whether you’re planning a countryside escape or a spontaneous weekend road trip, take a page out of Lambe’s book: put down your phone, get outside, and enjoy the little things. After all, the perfect spring break destination might be closer than you think.
