This New Lyft Go Membership Includes DashPass & Major Rewards Toward Rides

November is a rough part of the semester. Midterms just finished, finals are around the corner, and in between lectures, labs, and studying, it seems like everyone wants to go out. Whether it’s going out with friends, going out for groceries, or anything in between, coordinating a ride is not always easy or cheap. If you don’t own a vehicle, then transportation options can be extremely limiting. Thankfully, Lyft is here to the fix that with their new membership option — or, at least, to make things a little smoother.

In partnership with DoorDash, Lyft Go is a new membership that practically feels like a steal. Starting Nov. 5, Lyft’s latest expansion — currently only available to United States users — rewards membership holders with credits towards their next ride or DoorDash order. The $9.99 monthly subscription also gives users a free DashPass subscription on top of Lyft Go — literally two memberships for the price of one! If the price isn’t right or DoorDash isn’t your thing, then fear not: Lyft Go Core is a similar, yet simplified program that gives users similar benefits to Lyft Go at only $4.99 a month. DashPass by DoorDash

Exclusively for Lyft Go, DashPass by DoorDash is included with the monthly fee. That includes $0 delivery fees and exclusive savings. It’s a savings of $120 per year. For DoorDash members wanting to subscribe to Lyft Go, accounts can be linked at no extra cost. 

Lyft credits

For Lyft Go and Lyft Go Core, membership holders can earn a respective 8% and 5% back, respectively, in Lyft Credits that can be used toward future Lyft rides of any tier. Lyft Go has a monthly credit cap of $40 and Lyft Go Core has a cap of $20 each month. Additionally, Lift Go membership holders can put credits towards DoorDash orders.

Relaxed cancellations

Both Lyft Go and Lyft Go Core users will receive three relaxed cancellations each month. Sometimes the night doesn’t go as planned, and a feature like this is super useful. 

Lyft donation matching

For both Lyft Go subscription tiers, Lyft will be fully matching any donations made through the app. Automatic donations allow users to opt in to round up their total and donate it to a cause of their choice. 

Lost Item Fee Waiver

If you accidentally leave something behind in your Lyft, it usually can be returned for a $20 fee. Now available to Lyft Go membership holders, that lost item fee is waived. The best part? There are unlimited uses!

If you’re someone who often finds themselves grabbing a rideshare or ordering takeout food, now’s the time to consider Lyft Go.
