Why Garage’s Sleek Scoop Camis Need More Love

This past summer, I was really struggling with what clothes to bring with me as I began my college experience. I went to a private school where we had to wear uniforms every day, so I didn’t really have many options to work with.

To help me figure out some fun things to bring to school, my grandma took me on a little shopping spree at our local mall. Coincidentally, my friend also got a job at the clothing store Garage that summer and asked me to visit her while she was working. That’s when I discovered the Sleek Scoop Cami, and it became a staple in my wardrobe.

Perfect for hot days

Obviously, when the fall semester starts, we’re still feeling the effects of summer, so most people will avoid long sleeves, pants, and darker colors to stay cool. The Sleek Scoop Cami is perfect for that. It comes in so many different colors because it’s such a classic tank top, and it can be paired with just about anything and still look cute if you accessorize and style correctly.

In the hotter times of the year, like the beginning of the fall semester or the end of the spring semester, I would suggest wearing it with a short skirt or cute athletic shorts and accessorizing with jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.

Something else I like to do is match my shoes to the top I’m wearing, what many people call the sandwich method, to further complete my outfit!

Wearable all year round

Another cute way to wear them for the winter is to layer the shirt under other clothes. Something I find myself doing as we enter the colder months is wearing jeans or sweatpants, then an off-the-shoulder thin sweater or a zip-up.

When it’s even colder, I’ll probably still end up wearing jeans or sweatpants, then a heavier sweater, like a hoodie or a leather jacket. Garage also has other items like the SnatchRib Crossover Longsleeve Top that the Sleek Scoop Cami looks cute as a base layer for. I think this would be super good to wear in the colder months as an extra layer. First this cami, then the SnatchRib Crossover Longsleeve Top, and then a heavier coat for a fun layered effect while keeping warm!

More from Garage

The Sleek Scoop Cami and the SnatchRib Crossover Longsleeve Top aren’t the only things that Garage sells! They also have their Plunge Halter Corset Top, which I have in multiple colors. I think it’s good for parties, but it can also be used for Halloween costumes or to look cute on a day out.

Personally, I wore a pink one with a white skirt and white sneakers, a cute, comfortable, and stylish outfit that kept me cool in the summer heat. I think this can also be a cute outfit for a hot day, whether you have a more casual class or just want to look extra cute for a weekend outing.

Be sure to check out Garage to see if they have anything else you might like or that suits your style, and keep an eye out for any new colors they might release. The Sleek Scoop Cami is my underrated favorite wardrobe staple, and maybe they will help you find one too.
