I would say I’m quite skilled at getting caught up in the artful displays, colorful packaging, and plethora of fall items at my local Trader Joe’s. I attribute most of the blame to going into the store without a plan (dangerous, I know).
Fall has officially begun, and I want to test out tons of cozy recipes this season! My feed has been flooded with Trader Joe’s videos that hype up new fall item drops each week.
Here, I’ve crafted a bucket list of recipes that drew inspiration from the coveted Trader Joe’s fall product drops. I hope that these ideas will help organize my somewhat chaotic love for fall recipes, which wants to purchase almost every autumnal item on the Trader Joe’s roster!
- French Toast
-
For breakfast, I want to experiment with pumpkin sourdough, because I can’t help but believe it would make the most amazing French toast. I feel as though it wouldn’t be overly sweet, and because of this, I’m thinking of topping it off with another new Trader Joe’s item: their maple butter. Maybe even sub pumpkin pie spice for cinnamon in the French toast batter.
- Fall-tastic Salad
-
For lunch, I am inspired by the apple vinaigrette and caramelized onion goat cheese. Walk with me here. I’m thinking candied pecans, sliced pear, and Granny Smith apple over a spring mix base. I don’t often crave salads, but this one is making the cut and getting added to my fall bucket list.
- Soup & Gnocchi
-
For dinner, I’m craving the easiest, yet tastiest-looking gnocchi soups. And it’s only three ingredients! Premade gnocchi, kale, and Trader Joe’s Autumnal Harvest Soup are all making their way into my cart in the upcoming weeks for sure. There is even limited-edition Pumpkin Gnocchi available for an added fall flair.
- Curry Rice Bowl
-
To me, fall screams warm, hearty meals, and I have not been able to shake broth bowls from my feed, but I’m not complaining, because spicy short rib coconut curry brothy rice bowls sound pretty good to me. Between the heat from the red curry paste and the creaminess from Trader Joe’s organic coconut milk, I can’t wait to try this recipe, especially as the weather continues to cool off.
- Sweet Treats
-
I do have to admit that baked goods are my favorite kind of meal prep. Personally, there is no other way to christen fall with anything other than a pumpkin muffin. The recipe I found features water as a batter ingredient, and I’m thinking of subbing it with an elevated liquid ingredient, none other than Trader Joe’s spiced cider. When I make these muffins, they’ll absolutely be my breakfast for an entire week, and perhaps even the month of October.
And finally, another sweet treat to close out my bucket list. I’ve been dying to try the pumpkin ice cream, and what better way to test it out than to make some thin and chewy maple cookies to sandwich the ice cream between? I haven’t had a cookie ice cream sandwich in so long, and I’m looking forward to bringing all of the nostalgia and coziness of the fall season into my apartment with this recipe and all of the others I have mentioned.
Maybe this article will help me stick to a list at my favorite fall food haven. Though I’m sure some additional items will somehow make their way into my cart…
