10 A+ Graduation Caps From FIT’s Ceremony This Year

For college students, graduation caps have always been a way to express creativity, make a statement, and commemorate the moment and honor all the hard work they did to get to commencement. Decorated graduation caps are also the best way to stand out in a crowd, and have your loved ones spot you in a sea of same-colored gowns. At my own graduation, I saw caps relating to degrees, post-graduate plans, and the university itself. Some were so well done, it made me wish that I had decorated my own before it was my turn to walk.

But there were dozens of graduates who thought ahead this year, and students from FIT were a part of that group. On May 19 and 20,the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Class of 2026 crossed the stage and transitioned from students to alumni. Naturally, they had to do it in style, but instead of throwing a fit, they threw their caps! FIT graduates showed off their amazing design skills, and created some of the cutest graduation caps. It’s a fashion school, so they really set the bar high with their designs. In years’ past, FIT grads have gone all-out with their fits from head to toe.  So, the Class of 2026 had to keep it going. Here are some of the best caps from FIT’s newest alums.

A nod to one of the video games that shaped Gen Z’s childhood: Minecraft. The cap looks straight out of the game itself! Are we sure that’s not a real Ender portal?

OK, this one is definitely my favorite. The colors, the flowers, and of course, Princess Tiana! Just like the Disney princess, all those years of hard work and determination paid off for this grad!
