Need A Quick ‘Fit? You Can Now Use DoorDash To Order From Urban Outfitters

You know when the outfit you envisioned in your head just doesn’t look right? Or, when you realize too late that you took the theme party dress code a little too literally? Or, when you’ve made last-minute plans without checking what’s in your closet? We’ve all been there — needing to pick an outfit in the matter of minutes. Thankfully, gone are the days of dealing with clothes all over your room and a night ruined because you have nothing to wear: Urban Outfitters is partnering with DoorDash (yes, the delivery app!) to make sure it never happens again.

On May 13, Urban Outfitters announced it’s taking new strides in on-demand retail by collaborating with DoorDash, allowing customers to get outfits delivered to their doorstep as early as, well, right now. Per Urban’s press release about the partnership, the new feature was actually inspired by Gen Z, since, according to YouGov data, two in five Gen Zers order delivery weekly (you’re welcome, world). And the new feature does make sense, since fashion emergencies are very real, and, nowadays, you can get pretty much anything delivered.

The partnership is debuting with a campaign called “Deliver Joy,” which will include special launch offers, immersive activations, and a “Special Delivery” specifically for graduates (because, again, we can thank Gen Z for inspiring this whole collab). As part of the launch, Urban and DoorDash are offering a major discount: Customers with an order subtotal of $50 can receive 30% off orders (up to $30 off), when they order Urban Outfitters through DoorDash from May 13 through May 27, using the promo code URBANSAVE30 — the perfect offer to take advantage of for Memorial Day festivities, am I right?

The immersive activations are a bit more…ambiguous. The campaign announcement says: “A series of experiential activations nationwide will celebrate the partnership through surprise-and-delight experiences taking place throughout May.” Not much else has been said about these experiences, but I for one am excited to see what they’re all about.

The last leg of the collaboration celebration, “Special Delivery,” is a returning initiative from last year: Urban Outfitters is responding to grad party invitations by delivering gifts to the graduates who sent them. This year, the initiative will be carried out by DoorDash so that the goodies arrive at the perfect moment. Fun!

“At UO, we want to stay in sync with how our customers shop, and live their lives,” Urban Outfitters president Shea Jensen said in a press release. “We are excited to partner with DoorDash, and our hope is that UO is more accessible and available to our customers. DoorDash is another example of how we are meeting our customers on their terms.”

Who knew that in 2026 we’d be DoorDashing our outfits? Not me, but I guess UO did!
