Ways to Connect with Friends During Summer Break

Do you need some ideas on what to do with your friends over the summer? Here is a list of 10 things you can do with the girls!

1. Meet up in NYC:

Who doesn’t love a day out in the city with friends! Walking around the city, getting some food, window shopping, or even stopping by at Washington Square Park/Bryant Park to catch up is always so much fun! I love going to the city and getting dinner, or even just getting a matcha and walking all day long.

2. Go To the Beach:

Imagine a yummy sandwich, chips, a drink, tanning oil, and listening to some good music with your girls—such a vibe! Getting that tan while catching up is a must. I love waking up early in the morning and driving down to the beach with the windows down, blasting music.

3. Get Dinner:

It’s so important to have a girls’ night out! Getting dinner and dressing up is the best combination ever.

 4. Road trip/Getaway:

Planning a road trip, either close or far, will be fun no matter what! Taking long drives and talking about life is always enjoyable.

5. Picnic/Walk at Central Park:

Who doesn’t love a nice picnic at sunset or during the day? Buy some food and sit down in the park or even at Central Park. Bring a blanket or sheet and lie down for hours!

6. Do a Workout Class Together:

A workout class doesn’t mean you have to spend money because you can definitely go on walks, run, or go on a hike! Maybe try out a workout class near you or even go to the gym. My friend and I usually get each other free passes to a gym, and we workout together! It’s always a lot of fun and very motivating to have someone with you.

7. Go To a Baseball Game (Yankees!):

Who doesn’t love going to baseball games, especially the Yankees! The tickets during the summer can be around 10 dollars. Get a bucket of chicken tenders and fries and have the best time ever! Chanting with the crowd and dancing to the music on the stands will always be a great night!

8. Go To a Flea Market:

There are so many markets everywhere. Visit different markets around your area and window shop with your friends! You can get some shopping out of this.

 9. Get Coffee:

Wake up early and get breakfast and coffee! The best way to start your day is especially with your friends.

10. Movie Night or Game Night:

Go to the movies or play games at home! My friends and I love to play the “Imposter” game.

Most importantly, call on FaceTime and catch up with your friends! I know life gets very busy and you don’t have enough time to send a text or make a call, but trust me, it’s so important to take five seconds of your day and catch up with a friend. You don’t realize how important it is to talk to someone until you actually do.
