What I Keep in My Everyday Bag

Growing up, I was never a “purse girl” until I reached high school. Now, I can rarely go anywhere without my bag, and I love it more than anything. I find my main bag perfect and spacious enough to fit all my things without actually looking big.

I tend to use the same bag, mostly because I don’t have to move all my things constantly. Keeping everything I might need in my bag makes my days easier. Sometimes I’ll just put my entire bag in my backpack because I’m lazy. What’s in my bag changes, but my essentials are always in there.

My wallet

Of course, I keep my wallet in my bag, but what’s inside is worth noting. I love my Lululemon Dual Pouch Wristlet because of how much it fits. As a Type 1 Diabetic, I can keep glucose tablets that will correct my blood sugar if it goes low. In that same pouch, I always keep my Sephora Moisturizing Lip Balm along with any hair ties that I haven’t lost.

In the other pouch, all my cards fit perfectly. This includes my FSU ID, driver’s license, credit and debit cards, punch cards, cash, and just about anything else you can probably think of. I love my wallet, and if I ever abandon the idea of taking a bag, it has just what I need. Although its size may seem large, it easily fits in my bag.

My makeup routine varies from day to day, depending on how much time and energy I have in the morning, and I keep extra products I use in the most basic version.

My e.l.f. Cosmetics Clear Brow & Lash Mascara is one of my holy grail products. It’s fairly small and a two-in-one product, so it’s easy to keep stored away in my bag. The lip balm that I keep in my wallet stays in my bag and can even be used as blush.

As for my beloved lip combo, it pretty much always stays in my bag. I mostly keep it in there so I don’t forget to take it with me during the day. The other essential I keep in my bag is a comb, just to fix any flyaways I might have, especially because my curly hair doesn’t match well with the heat of spring. My hair and my lips are pretty much the only things I’ll actually fix once I finish getting ready for the day.

I use one of the two side pockets in my bag to keep all of these products, allowing for easy access. I hate digging through my bag to find small things. In my opinion, It’s easiest to keep them in their own separate pocket.

My bag has a lot of essentials for a just-in-case scenario. I keep a small pack of tissues, a pack of mints, and some tampons. Even though I don’t use all of them every day, it’s best to be prepared.

Like everyone, I have plenty of random things in my bag that serve barely any purpose. When I visited a friend in Jacksonville, I bought a small rose quartz in the shape of a heart that stays in my bag. I liked the meaning of it and figured that I should keep it with me consistently.

One of my staple items to me as a person is my “aura glasses” that I keep in my bag and wear to any social event I go to. They’re just a simple pair of sunglasses, but I like having them on me. As sunglasses, I can wear them to protect my eyes from the vicious Florida sun, so they do have a second purpose.

In full honesty, I carry more in my bag than I need to. I love my bag, and I take it almost everywhere with me. Having a bag that’s perfect for me makes carrying it around so much more enjoyable. It’s my favorite accessory and has just about everything that I could need!
