March has arrived! You know what that means – Women’s History Month is here! Since this month is all about women, I wanted to celebrate and uplift female entrepreneurs during this time. For that reason, I’ve put together a list of seven women-owned brands and businesses to check out and support! These brands and businesses range from beauty all the way to beverages for every girly-girl who just LOVES being a girl.

Glow Recipe

I believe that almost everyone has seen Glow Recipe products at least once, whether on TikTok or at Sephora. If not, let me tell you a bit about it! Glow Recipe is a women and AAPI-owned skincare brand known for its clean, fruit-inspired products that promise that glowy, glass-skin look.

Everything about the brand is appealing: the packaging, the product scents, their effectiveness, and the marketing. In the beauty industry, the little details “make the brand”, and Glow Recipe is proof of that. Personally, I’ve tried many of their products, and I will be continuously recommending them because they’re really that good.

My recommendations: Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dewy Flush & Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum

Side note: just remember to visit a dermatologist before purchasing any product to make sure it suits your skin’s needs.

Black girl magic wine

If you’re 21 or older and enjoy wine, this is definitely a brand worth supporting. Black Girl Magic Wine is a women-owned and a Black-owned business that aims to empower women and celebrate culture through toasting for great moments in life.

Besides being an accessible and sustainable brand, it offers a variety of wines for all tastes, from sweet to bold. It is truly an amazing brand that stands out in an industry with little diversity.

So, for your next girls’ night this March, consider adding Black Girl Magic Wine!

Mane

Mane is another brand that went viral on TikTok and Pinterest, mainly because of its thermal round brushes and overall aesthetics! It’s a haircare brand that offers a wide variety of products and styling tools designed to facilitate your daily hair care routine.

I initially bought some of their products just for the packaging; however, I ended up genuinely loving them, and a few have now become staples in my routine. If I had to recommend one product, it would be the Sea Sweet Hair & Body Mist. For a styling tool, the BRB Ceramic Round Brush (1.7”) is worth trying.

I didn’t realize until recently that this brand is women-owned, which makes me even more excited to explore more of their products!

Kosas

Kosas is a makeup brand that has taken social media by storm! Kosas has trended multiple times for being ideal for everyday makeup while also including skincare benefits. This brand aims to create a comfortable makeup experience, giving that natural ‘skin-like’ finish.

This women-owned business regularly goes viral on social media following new launches, and I believe it’s because practicality is exactly what makeup lovers have been looking for lately; Kosas delivers just that! If you’re into the no-makeup-makeup look or simply looking for a clean beauty brand, try Kosas!

My top picks: Air Brow Eyebrow Gel & the Revealer Super Creamy Concealer.

And a little hope

If you’re in Houston and love girly fashion, you should definitely visit And A Little Hope. This mom-and-daughter, faith-led, feminine boutique offers accessories and clothing inspired by modern and elegant styles. They have an extensive variety of pieces from bracelets to beautiful dresses, and you’ll most likely find something you like!

Besides the physical store, they have a website with great gift options for children, teens, and adults, making it a perfect place to shop when you’re looking for something meaningful yet trendy!

My recommendation: Dahlia Quilted Ruffle Tote Bag

Jiggy Puzzles

This women-led brand creates and sells puzzles featuring designs by female artists from around the world. Jiggy Puzzles collaborates with female creatives, giving them a platform to be creative and showcase their work through amazing puzzles.

Besides from being fun, puzzles help improve problem-solving skills and reduce stress; so tell me, what is a better way to relax than with a brand that celebrates women pursuing their passions?

Have an upcoming game night? Consider including Jiggy Puzzles into your board game round-up!

My recommendation: Patisserie Pals, Shea O’Connor

Phlur

Lastly (but definitely not least on this list) is Phlur. If you’re a fragrance lover or have been on ‘PerfumeTok’ lately, you’ve probably come across this brand. Phlur has stood out for its modern, unique scents and high quality.

Trust me, it’s worth trying.

On their website, they have articles to help and guide you in finding your signature scent, along with tips on how to layer fragrances and different combinations to try out.

Fragrances also make meaningful gifts for anyone, so make sure to try out Phlur at your next Sephora visit.

My recommendations: Vanilla Skin, Golden Rule, & Beach Skin

Have fun exploring these powerful brands and businesses!
