Food Itinerary in Davis, CA

If you are looking for a cozy place to eat, a fancy place to dine or a quick grab-and-go food spot, Davis is the place to look. It offers food spots ranging from delicious breakfast burritos, warm and crispy chicken combos, flavorful Hawaiian plates and much more.

Ali Baba

Location: 220 3rd St, Davis, CA 95616

Rating: 4.3 stars

This Middle Eastern food spot is most known for its popular breakfast burritos. Offering an assortment of toppings and sauces to go along with them. Their burritos are around $12 and are completely customizable. Even offering a veggie burrito option.

They are also well known for their various burger styles. Offering plain burgers, cheeseburgers and honey-cured bacon burgers for $8. All with a 1/4 lb beef patty, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and grilled onions. They also have mushroom cheese burgers, feta burgers, veggie burgers, chicken burgers, lamb burgers and even a salmon burger. All under the price of $12.

As other food options, they offer fries, salads and gyros. As well as platters for more filling portions. All of which come with a variety of side combos and different protein sources. Drinks range from freshly squeezed orange juice and popular sodas to different coffee blends.

Tim’s Hawaiian BBQ

Tim’s Hawaiian BBQ offers a diverse range of plates with protein, sides and salads. Their most popular plate is the Chicken Katsu Plate, which comes with chicken katsu, macaroni salad and steamed veggies. Some of their most requested dishes are also the BBQ short rib plate, BBQ mix plate, BBQ chicken plate, and their spam musubi.

The majority of their plates come with protein, 2 scoops of rice, and 1 scoop of macaroni salad. However, every plate is customizable, meaning you can add more mac salad or more rice or even veggies instead of either.

Their plates range from $16-$20, which is a good amount for the portion they provide. Each plate can serve two people and sometimes even provide leftovers, depending on the portions eaten. They are also generous with the amount of protein served.

Apart from the plates, the menu includes different orders of ramen. Ranging from Tonkotsu Ramen, Miso Ramen, Shoyu Ramen, Seafood Ramen, Black Garlic Ramen, BBQ Chicken Ramen and Vegetable Ramen. The lowest price for their ramen being $17.95 and the highest is $22.95.

The Melt

The Melt is a great spot to go for casual yet highly satisfying burgers in Davis. They offer outdoor and indoor seating. While their main dish are burgers, they also offer sandwiches, salads & soups, desserts, fries and many drinks. They even have a kids’ section on their menu.

They are mostly known for their melt burgers. Which ranges from their classic 1/3 lb premium beef burger, BBQ Bacon melt burger, Swiss & shroom melt burger, spicy mission melt burger and a double version of each of those. Their prices range from $10.79 to $16.99, depending on your choice of burger. They also offer all of these with grilled chicken as a protein replacement for beef.

They also recently introduced crispy chicken sandwiches, a classic and spicy version. Both include crispy all-natural chicken with their famous melt sauce and cost under $12.

The melted classics of their menu are for individuals who prefer sandwich bread instead of a burger bun. Including just as unique flavors as their burgers. A three-cheese classic grilled cheese, patty melt, mac daddy (mac n cheese + bacon), steak & cheese, Italian job, avocado bacon melts and an egg in a hole sandwich. They also offer different mac and cheese combinations as a smaller dish. From a mini mac, their classic melty mac, a garlic chicken bacon mac and even a steak and fajita mac.

Fries, soups and salads are also great options to add to your order, as well as a dessert or drink. Drink options can be classic sodas or their unique hand-spun shakes. With flavors ranging from snickerdoodle and cookies & cream to strawberry, vanilla and chocolate.

Raising Cane’s

Of course, for a more popular quick and easy spot, Raising Cane’s never fails. Their crispy chicken never fails to satisfy a tasty craving.

Most popular for their three main combos.

The 3 Finger Combo – 3 chicken fingers, Texas toast, crinkled-cut fries, Cane’s sauce and a regular fountain drink.

The Box Combo – 4 chicken fingers, Texas toast, crinkled-cut fries, coleslaw, Cane’s sauce and a regular fountain drink.

The Caniac Combo – 6 chicken fingers, Texas toast, crinkled-cut fries, coleslaw, Cane’s sauce and a large fountain drink.

They also have a sandwich combo, which includes 3 chicken fingers with lettuce on a toasted bun, Cane’s sauce, crinkled-cut fries and a regular drink. As well as a kids combo, which comes with 2 chicken fingers, crinkled-cut fries, Cane’s sauce and a small drink.

Of course, all meals have the option of added extras, making it easy to customize each meal!

I have been involved in various creative extracurriculars. Such as managing three club social media accounts during my high school years. Volunteering at different city ran events for children. Ranging from arts and crafts activities to holiday festivities promoting union. I was president of a community service club as well as community liaison for a club called Girl's League. Which sparked my passion for feminine upliftment, unity, and women excellence.

My overall mission is to give back to those around me through my experiences, skills, and educational development. Coming from a low income predominantly Hispanic community has taught me that my growth has no bounds. Through this I want to help empower other women who share the same values and morals, and share a journey on seeking personal improvement.
