February is here, which means love is in the air. If you don’t have a romantic partner this year, you can still celebrate with your gals. Here are five fun ways to get together and make February 13th special.

Virtual Hangout

For long-distance besties, try a Zoom or group FaceTime to spend time together. You can catch up, share some laughs, and maybe play a game or watch a show together.

DIY Spa Night

Make your living room feel like a spa with face masks, candles, and cozy pajamas. You don’t need anything fancy, just relax and enjoy some self-care time with your friends. It’s a great way to feel refreshed.

Galentine’s Game Night

Game night is a simple way to bring everyone together. Board games, card games, or party games always lead to lots of laughs. Some friendly competition makes the night even better.

Themed Charcuterie and Wine Night

Ask everyone to bring a snack or drink that matches a theme. You can keep it simple with cheese, crackers, chocolate, and wine. Perfect aesthetic for a Galentine’s night.

Rom-Com Marathon

Choose a few of your favorite romantic comedies and get comfy for a movie night. Grab popcorn, blankets, and snacks, then enjoy some feel-good films with your friends.

Galentine’s Day is a time to celebrate female friendships. Leslie Knope first used the term on Parks and Recreation in 2010. Since then, women everywhere have started spending February 13th with friends, enjoying being single, and celebrating self-worth beyond romantic relationships. Taking time to honor our friendships reminds us that all kinds of love matter. So, gather your friends together and enjoy this month of love.
