Start 2026 Off Right With These Sex Positions

Everyone talks about how the way you start the year sets the tone. Wake up early? You’re in for a very productive year. Eat grapes under the table? I smell romance in your future. Cold plunge? You are unhinged, but 2026 is sure to be health-oriented. Yeah, sure, those are all great options, but nobody is stating the obvious: the best way to start the new year is with the Big O (and these New Year’s Day sex positions).

New Year’s Day sex is about intention. You’re staring 2026 in the face and saying Yeah, this is the vibe: pleasure forward, confident, and a hell of a lot of fun. It’s time to take the New Year by the reins with some super bomb sex. You are setting the tone of being a productive badass who will also be prioritizing their pleasure. Balance, y’all.

Whether you’re engaging in partner sex, casual sex, or some very intentional solo play, starting the New Year off with sex is a certified good omen. So before you start reinventing yourself, hitting the gym, or revamping your Insta, consider good sex your very first resolution. Below are three sex positions designed to help you start the new year off just right. And, as always, you’re welcome.

The Firework Show

This position is excellent for couples who are looking for an intimate position to try on Jan. 1. To start this position, first get into missionary, with Partner One as the receiving partner on the bottom, and Partner Two as the giver on top. Once Partner Two penetrates Partner One with a penis or dildo, Partner One will wrap their legs around Partner Two’s back and hold on tight. The Firework Show offers a great opportunity for hot makeouts and steamy eye contact.

New Year, New Me

This position is a classic way to switch up solo sex. Take your favorite method, whether you are DJing the VJ, wanking your wiener, or using your favorite toy, and turn it upside down. Literally, just lie flat on your stomach and do the same thing. It completely changes the experience. If your anatomy feels uncomfortable in this position, try keeping your torso on the bed and letting your lower half kneel or stand on the floor. It’s an easy way to flip your traditional routine on its head.

Twenty-Twenty Sex

Twenty-Twenty Sex is a position, but also a challenge. Partner One stands, while Partner Two kneels, facing them, and performs oral sex for twenty minutes. Then you switch. It’s a great way to start the new year with a little “who can make the other orgasm more” competitive spirit. Even if you lose… You win. This position is great for the bedroom, sure, but it can easily be brought to the shower, kitchen, backyard, or whatever location is tickling your fancy. However, I highly recommend having a wall for Partner One to lean back on.

Take 2026 by the balls with these three sure-to-impress New Year’s sex positions.
