As finals season is approaching, I am reminding myself of all of the fun things that are happening after this difficult week! Hopefully this helps you think of things that you are looking forward to this winter break and help motivate you to finish the semester strong!
Spending time with friends and family
I am so excited to see my friends and family when finals are over. When I am home, I love to watch movies, get coffee, and stop at my favorite restaurants in my hometown. It is always great to reconnect and catch up with everyone after a long semester. I am also looking forward to some of my family’s holiday traditions like recreating the “Polar Express” and driving around nearby neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights.
Having time for my hobbies!
During the school semester, I find it is really difficult to sit down and work on your current project because it feels like there is so much school work that you should be doing. My new favorite craft has been felt ornaments. It is a quick project that is perfect for the holidays! I am also looking forward to having time to read. After going to classes and doing homework all day, extra reading seems daunting. I have a couple books that I am looking forward to reading like Emily Henry’s newest book, Great Big Beautiful Life.Â
Getting Back Into Going to the Gym
Just like how I feel about spending time on hobbies during the semester, I have noticed the same thing with going to the gym. I feel like I have a million other things I would rather be getting done. While I am home for break, I am looking forward to getting back into the routine of going to the gym which I hope to carry into the new year!
Baking
I love baking and miss it while I am away at school. My family has a list of favorite christmas cookies that I am looking forward to making! My favorite Christmas cookie is white chocolate cranberry.Â
These are just a few things that I am looking forward to after this tough finals week and is what has kept me motivated. Hopefully this list helps you think of a few things that you are excited for during this break!
