2026 is just over a month away! Normally, this is the time for recaps, but I want to look ahead. Consider this a preview of what’s to come in the music world.

We already know there’s going to be many surprises from our favorite artists this year, but some have already announced their plans for their 2026 discography. It’s always lovely to have something exciting on the horizon, so here’s a rundown of my most anticipated album drops for 2026.

Zach Bryan’s With Heaven on Top

I’m not a diehard country fan by any means. In fact, I’d say it’s my least-listened-to genre. But I do love poetry, and Zach Bryan’s music is as close to poetry as it gets. With Heaven on Top is technically an EP (extended play), meaning it’s shorter than a traditional album.

It’s predicated to sound a little more orchestral than his previous work, but if it sounds anything like the sneak peek Bryan posted of the title track, then I absolutely cannot wait.

Lana Del Rey’s Stove

The release of Stove has been delayed a few times, and was originally announced under the title Lasso and The Right Person Will Stay. And what a title change!

Lana is known for her glamorously cinematic songs, usually paired with strikingly beautiful (and equally lengthy) album titles, so Stove is a surprising shift. And there’s another twist, too: I’ve heard the album might lean slightly into country territory. Regardless of the aesthetic switch-ups, I’m so incredibly excited to hear what she’s been working on!

Mumford & Sons’ Prizefighter

I grew up listening to Mumford & Sons, so they’re incredibly nostalgic to me. Apparently, they’re well-loved by everyone, because they stacked Prizefighter with some insane collaborations on their new album: Hozier, Gracie Abrams, GiGi Perez, and Chris Stapleton. It drops on February 13, and if you need me until then, I’ll be counting down the days.

Nicki Minaj (Title TBD)

Nicki seems to have an on-again, off-again relationship with this album, because she confirmed it, cancelled it, and teased it again all within a couple of months. I’m not quite sure if she’s made a decision yet, but fingers crossed that March 2026 will bring us some new songs and lots of dancing.

Madonna’s Confessions on a Dance Floor Part 2

The Queen of Pop is back! The original Confessions on a Dance Floor debuted in 2005, so this sequel has been a long time coming. In my opinion, everyone has a reason to be excited for this album.

Madonna’s influence spans generations. She’s a cultural force who’s shaped entertainment, fashion, and culture for decades. I’m sure Confessions on a Dance Floor Part 2 will be everything we’ve come to expect from our favorite diva.

There’s so much new music on the horizon! Here’s to a year of great listening!
