Birthday Freebies 2025

Karissa Brown Student Contributor, Seattle Pacific University
This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SPU chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

My favorite article I’ve ever written was also my most in-depth article about birthday freebies; the concept of getting all the free items you can that large corporate companies gift for a consumer’s birthday. Last year, I wanted to put all (and I mean ALL) of the freebie information into one article to help inform those who have to scour the internet to find out how and when to redeem.

This year, I wanted to update the freebie list, as well as update the information for when EXACTLY they show up (I’ve been following the rewards closely this year). Here is a link to my article from last year that details more on HOW to get these rewards, their value, and other important tips: A Complete Guide to Birthday Freebies as of November 2024!

Briefly, keep in mind:

  • Almost all require you to have signed up to their rewards programs (free, no subscriptions or anything, typically just opting into email newsletters)
  • Having the apps helps immensely to see the rewards pop up
  • I recommend signing up at least a month before your birthday to ensure you’ll get the rewards
  • Free = No previous or current purchase needed!!

Whole Month (Valid During Entire Birth Month)

  1. Sephora: Free Gift or 250 Points

Gift contents vary. While supplies last. Free if redeemed in store, online $25+ purchase required.

I did not make a purchase in the last year, but I was still given $10 off on my birthday.

  1. Pacsun: $5 off

I’m not sure the exact requirements of this one, but all I know is I made one online purchase from Pacsun in October, and was then given the $5 during my birth month.

  1. Nike: 10% off Purchases over $100

Got an email with this one, pretty cool.

  1. Madewell: Free $25 off a +$26 Order

No prior purchases necessary is crazy.

Show to concessions and score a free movie snack!

  1. Safeway: Free 2x Points during the Month

Clip the coupon deal to your account in the app.

  1. Miniso: Free Blind Box

Supposedly, there isn’t a reward that pops up. If you go in-store and show your membership during your birth month, you’ll get a free blind box.

Questionable

  1. Wetzel’s Pretzels

I have tried this one for the past few years, and what I’ve found is supposedly the reward is supposed to appear during your birth month, no purchase necessary. However, there is no place to put your birthday in on the app!

  1. Ben & Jerry’s

No app, and no option to input your birthday, so I’m wondering if you could just show them your account and ID on your birthday? Supposedly valid the whole month?

  1. Edible Arrangements

I got a reward my first year being a rewards member, and since then have seen nothing else show up on the app.

  1. Jimmy John’s

With a purchase made in the last year, you get points added to your account on your birthday, but nothing has shown up for me this year.

  1. Crumbl

This year, the offer did not appear on the app unless you are a Silver Level member. Sad :(
