Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars has caught the attention of many American watchers. Even if you may not even watch the show weekly, social media platforms such as Tik Tok and Instagram have been active in promoting and supporting the stars and celebrities. This season particularly has been filled with controversial celebrity picks, scandal, romance, and even feuding on social media. Â
Starting off with a bang, the pick of celebrity Anna Delvey to be a guest on the show was the first controversy that sparked the season. Delvey is a 33 year old social media personnel who is especially notable due to her arrest and jail time for theft and fraud previously. During her time on Dancing with the Stars, Delvey was paired with pro Ezra Sousa and was eliminated early in the show. When asked what Delvey would take away from the show, Delvey replied “nothing”, which left fans shocked.Â
Partners Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko were on the show before their elimination, and seemingly had an intimate relationship which they displayed to fans early on. The two went from flirting and posting Tik Toks, to being spotted kissing and getting matching tattoos. Shortly after their elimination, both went to the internet posting Tik Toks back and forth directed at each other leading fans to believe their short lived relationship was over. This relationship caused much scandal within the cast as well as other Pros and Celebrities were feeding into it, posting amusing and confused comments and responses to the scandal.Â
Fans also are wondering if former Bachelorette Jenn Tran and her partner Sasha Farber were also engaging in a relationship. This pairing was not as scandalous as Brooks and Gleb, but did, in many instances, allude to being more than just partners. Since their elimination, the two have been posting together each day and have been spotted together on multiple occasions. This potential relationship feels especially awkward due to the fact the Farber’s ex-wife Emma Slater is also a pro dancer in the ballroom.Â
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba has been talked about recently for the treatment of certain dancers. Inaba has been a judge since the show began years ago, and has seemingly been a fan favorite However, after the last episode Inaba has been criticized for the harsh treatment of celebrities Ilona Maher and Chandler Kinney. Inaba was being very generous with her scoring and feedback last episode, which did not exactly align with the other judges nor her comments to these two women.
