Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance Tour’ Movie Won’t Be In Theaters Forever, So Grab Your Tickets ASAP

As a self-proclaimed member of the Beyhive, I’ve secured not just one, but two tickets to Beyoncé’s concert film, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé. In true dedication to all things Bey, I’ve already started preparing myself for the nearly three-hour film. Being a fan since I was six, it feels absolutely essential to support one of my favorite artists as her film is set to premiere in theaters on Dec. 1.

Following the release of her seventh studio album, Renaissance, on July 29, 2022, Beyoncé launched the Renaissance World Tour on May 10, 2023, in Stockholm, Sweden, which concluded on Oct. 1, 2023.  The tour received such high praise from both critics and fans that Beyoncé is now bringing the history-making concert to the big screen. With the premiere date finally here, many are wondering how long they have to experience this concert film in theaters.

According to AMC, the film will be shown on Thursdays through Sundays for a minimum of four weeks, ensuring fans have ample opportunities to catch the film. For those seeking an immersive experience, the film will be available in premium formats, including both IMAX and Dolby Cinema at AMC, alongside other high-quality large-format screens. In North America, ticket prices begin at $22, excluding taxes. Tickets will be accessible across a wide range of movie theaters in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour has proven to be a monumental success, with it bringing in more than $579 million globally. Attracting a crowd of 2.7 million across 56 shows in 39 cities, the tour, showcased Beyoncé’s iconic star power. Following the tour’s last show in Kansas City,  Beyoncé unveiled her plans to extend the tour’s magic to the big screen. The announcement of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé was followed by immediate ticket pre-sales at major theaters like AMC, Regal, and Cinemark.

The film’s trailer teased behind-the-scenes footage from the tour, including at Beyoncé’s rehearsals with her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, and special appearances by her twins, Rumi and Sir. Sources involved in the Renaissance film hint that it’ll blend highlights from the tour with behind-the-scenes footage of the album’s recording and creative development of the concert, as well as new music videos from the Renaissance album.

As a devoted member of the Beyhive, I’m buzzing with excitement to catch every exciting moment from the Renaissance World Tour. You best believe I’m ready to be front and center for this queen’s reign on the big screen.

Bring it on, Beyoncé – my popcorn’s waiting, and my wallet’s ready!
