Hi gingers! As rare as redheads are, I’m sure we’ve all struggled to find Halloween costumes that are based on redheaded characters. I feel like for us, there’s an expectation to always dress as a character with red hair for Halloween, rather than going as something like an animal or a character without red hair. I’ve compiled a few ideas of Halloween costumes for redheads that you can use in years to come; hopefully, you’ll find a few you hadn’t thought of before!Â
Starting off strong with: The Disney Girls
- Wendy Darling (my costume this year). Bonus points if you get your partner or a friend to be Peter Pan or Tinkerbell!
- Anna from Frozen (Her coronation dress would be so cute as a costume!)
- Meg from Hercules. Extra bonus points if you can get your partner to be Herc!
- Rosetta from Tinkerbell. This one would be so cute as a group costume!
- Jessie from Toy Story (With your partner as Woody, of course).
- Kim Possible (The go-to, last-minute redhead costume).
- Darla from Finding Nemo. Bonus points if you actually have braces or headgear!
Now for some of the more obscure characters:
- Fiona from Shrek. This would be great as a group costume too!
- Jessica Rabbit, for the girls who want something sexy.
- Â Olive from Easy A. This one is a great last-minute costume!
- Â Wanda Maximoff, from Marvel. You could take this one in so many directions, but full-out Scarlet Witch would be amazing.
- Â Cady Heron from Mean Girls. Another great group costume!
- Â Magenta or Columbia from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. You could choose depending on your shade of red hair!
And ending with the couple’s costume to win all couple’s costumes:
- Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker (sobbing).
