Just like with every new astrological period, Libra season comes with specific qualities that may affect your personality, behaviors, and even your actions. As the sun moves into Libra, every zodiac sign should expect to feel the effects of this Air sign’s feminine and romantic energy until we move into Scorpio season at the end of October.
When Does Libra Season Start?
On Sept. 22 —at exactly 9:04 p.m. ET — the sun will be moving into Libra. However, according to the astrological calendar, Libra season doesn’t start until Sept. 23. So, as soon as the Libra’s out there wake up, the sun will be shining brightly down on them. If you’re a Libra, expect to feel especially empowered until Oct. 23 whenever the sun moves into Scorpio. This astrological period is important for all signs—not just Libra. How exactly? Here’s how the upcoming Libra season will impact you based on your zodiac sign:
ARIES (MARCH 20-APRIL 19):
Get ready for romance, Aries. During this transit, the Libra sun will be moving into your seventh house of relationships, marriage, and interpersonal style. Meaning: expect the unexpected when it comes to your love life.
“Aries may attract a new partner or be ready to make a deeper commitment in a current relationship,” Furiate tells Her Campus. “The desire to bond with someone who can bring out the best in you may be strong.”
TAURUS (APRIL 20-MAY 20):
If you’re a Taurus, this Libra season is the time for you to put yourself first. With the sun in your eighth house, Libra season is all about adjustment for this Earth sign.
Furiate says, “Taurus may need to adjust their schedule to keep up with the demands of work and living a healthy lifestyle.”
GEMINI (MAY 21-JUNE 20):
Looks like you’ve caught the travel bug, Gemini! With the Libra sun in your ninth house of travel, this Air sign should expect to feel a certain sense of adventure.
“Gemini is full of vigor and vitality ready to seize the moment to share time with friends and loved ones,” Furiate says. “A spontaneous trip to the countryside to witness the fall foliage could be tons of fun.”
CANCER (JUNE 21-JULY 22):
Cancer placements are natural homebodies. During this transit, they may be spending more time turning their “house” into a “home,” if you know what I mean.
“Cancer may feel like staying closer to home. A family obligation or a surprise visit from a parent may force you to have a change of plans,” Furaite tells Her Campus.
LEO (JULY 23-AUG. 22):
As always, Leo placements will be booked this season. Since Libra is their platonic soulmate, this social butterfly will be feeling the communicative nature of Libra — but it might become all too much at some point.
“Leo is ready to get out of town for a few days,” Furiate says. “A drive up the coast might be the perfect way to sort through all those amazing thoughts going through your head that bring you joy.”
VIRGO (AUG. 23-SEPT. 22):
Cash is king during this transit, Virgo. Fresh off of your birthday, you may be feeling a little more conservative with your money — probably because of all the birthday celebrations.
Furiate says, “Virgo could attract a couple of part-time gigs to pull in some extra needed cash flow.”
LIBRA (SEPT. 23-OCT. 22):
Happy birthday, Libra! The sun is in your first house, so that means you’ll be feeling more like yourself than ever. And, in return, you’ll feel more inclined to improve yourself inside and out (but more inside).
“Libra is all about new beginnings to bring a sense of peace, harmony, and balance to all aspects of their wellbeing,” Furiate says.
SCORPIO (OCT. 23-NOV. 21):
Scorpio placements are about to be in their zen era. Trust me, they need it. And deserve it!
“Scorpio may find this an excellent time to meditate, take up a yoga practice, and release any negative vibes,” Furiate tells Her Campus.
SAGITTARIUS (NOV. 22-DEC. 21):
Let’s get creative, Sagitttarius! The sun is in your third house of communication and thinking, so now is the time to talk about your big ideas. You never know who could make them happen for you.
“Sagittarius is really to go full throttle to market one of their numerous creations,” Furaite tells Her Campus. “This is the perfect month to connect with tons of like-minded people who share your same beliefs.”

Oh Capricorns, always working. During this transit, Capricorns should expect rewards in regards to work — they’ve earned it.
“A new job opportunity may present itself or a family member may offer you a nice sum of cash to launch a cool business idea,” Furiate says.
AQUARIUS (JAN. 20-FEB. 18):
With the Libra sun in your fifth house of creativity and pleasure, Aquarius placements will be doing the thing they love most: sharing their ideas.
“Aquarius may be excited to partner up with a global network to test drive a whole new philosophy for sharing their insight,” says Furiate.
