Getting active is always a good thought. We say we’re going to get that summer body, often as our New Year’s resolution, but then January 4th comes around and somehow, we convince ourselves that we have plenty of time to start on our fitness goals. We somehow make the same promise to ourselves, and the cycle goes on. Here’s where I come in to help you break that cycle. Here are some ways to get your pre-workout motivation for an amazing workout.

Pick out clothes that make you comfortable and feel good. I say ignore those people that say, “You don’t go to the gym to look cute.” You know what you came in there for, and if looking cute with the latest style leggings and a full face of makeup get you feeling ready to conquer that treadmill, then I say do you girl!

Plan out your workout. Get in there knowing what you came in to do by coming in prepared. Trust me the workout is more enjoyable when you know what you’re wanting to do or work on. It also gives out better results! Tip: One day work on legs, then the next abs. Also remember to always switch it up to keep it from feeling like a routine.

Set up a playlist that gets you moving. If Mozart keeps you pushing through that last rep, then I say go for it. Just make sure that you have that fire playlist ready before you hit the gym, to get you ready to go all in. Here are a couple of songs that I feel gives me that energy I need in order to have the best workout.

Livre’ [feat. Mali Music] -Watch Me

Eminem – Lose Yourself – Soundtrack Version

Kanye West – POWER

Bruno Mars [feat. Cardi B] -Finesse (Remix)

Imagine Dragons -Thunder

I hope with these tips get you ready to kick but at the gym, and even get you more motivated.
