Introducing… Our New Fitness Column!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Northeastern chapter.

Research has shown that if healthier habits are developed in the early twenties, then they will carry on further into adulthood. That is a lot of pressure to put on a college girl who is juggling classes, potential clubs and extracurricular activities, maintaining friendships, and more.  A girl can only take so much, but living healthy is actually easier than one may think. Join me as I, a typical college sophomore; try to create new and healthy habits for myself.

A little about me before we start our journey: I am a sophomore in the D’Amore McKim School of Business with a dual concentration in Marketing and Management and a minor in Sustainable Business Practices. I live with four of my best friends in an on campus apartment and have taken on the task of living without a meal plan.

This blog will be your go-to if you need any healthy recipes or some direction at the gym. I can bring up certain topics that are hot in the fitness atmosphere and also talk about what its like to juggle eating healthy on little money and little time.

If you want me to research and talk about any topics, like whether or not diet fads actually work or if spinning makes your thighs bigger, just shoot me an email or comment and I’ll try to incorporate it into the next article!

Hi. I am a sophmore studying business with a dual concentration in marketing and management, as well as a minor in sustainable business. Outside of school I have a passion for sports, especially football (Patriots) and hockey (Bruins). I also love to bake, snuggle with my puppy, read and hang out with my friends.
