HELLO the scent of fresh baked anything gives me life. Do you have a favorite pastry or dessert? If yes, which one and why? I have a severe soft spot for peach and blueberry cobblers. I grew up shoveling them into my pie hole, as they were a go-to dessert for my family gatherings. When it comes to recipes, do you always follow them? Why or why not?I don’t always follow them because I like to live life on the edge. I consider myself a baking badass. What is your favorite thing to bake? Cupcakes. They’re easier to serve to large audiences than regular cakes and make you feel like you haven’t eaten half of a cake when you eat 7 of them in a sitting (not that I would know…).Chocolate or vanilla cake? Can I choose cheesecake instead? When did you start baking and what interested you about it? My dad was the master chef in our house and introduced me early on to the world of baking. I have a great picture of the first cookie cake I made by myself at age 6 or 7 with M&M’s on it spelling out “Daddy is sweet and warm.” I simply learned early on and am good at it.Do you plan on having a career in baking or do you consider it as more of a hobby?  Honestly, it’s not something that I could realistically do right now. It’ll remain a hobby where I cater events for friends and family, but maybe later in life I would consider opening a bakery or dessert food truck of sorts. Have you ever had a job in baking? I have held many different roles in restaurant establishments, but have never actually been a baker. So, if you’re hiring bakers, I am available for employment.
