HCE: What is your style mantra?
CL: I don’t really have a style mantra, but I love anything classic with a hint of the current trends. I don’t like when girls are 100% trendy… first of all the style is constantly changing and second of all it is so expensive to upkeep that! I love simple/preppy pieces with something fun to spice it up.
HCE: What are your favorite stores to shop at?
CL: Jcrew, Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom’s, Kate Spade, Anthropologie, Local Boutiques and Surf Shops, Target, Madewell
HCE: What is your favorite piece of clothing that you own?
CL: Being from California, my outfit staple is a great pair of jeans (my friends tease me when they see my closet full of them). I have a pair of Joe’s jeans that are absolutely amazing. They are so stretchy, soft, and comfy, but are dark so they look very nice and can go day to night. For the summertime, I have a pair of Paige boyfriend cutoffs that are lighter and distressed… fun with a pair of wedges or flip flops!
HCE: What’s your go-to outfit?
CL: Fall/Winter: Dark jeans, a cashmere Jcrew boyfriend sweater or a Joie silk top, flat booties or ballet flats, long necklace with layered charms, and a bunch of bangles with a fun watch.
Spring/Summer: Sundress with cowboy boots or maxi dress with sandals and a pretty/dainty necklace.
HCE: What are your favorite brands to wear?
CL: Jcrew, Joie, Hudson/Paige/Joes, Billabong, Roxy, Anthropologie, Splendid, Lily Pulitzer, Madewell
HCE: What is the most random/weirdest piece of clothing that you own?
CL: I have a blazer that is all bright silver sequins. I got it for my 18th birthday party to wear over a black dress… at the moment it was a fun party outfit but not sure if I’ll ever wear it again besides maybe to a Halloween party!
HCE: What is your favorite beauty trend?
CL: Peach cheeks and wavy/beachy hair
HCE: If you could have one person’s wardrobe, whose would it be?
CL: Taylor Swift’s… she manages to look classy, girly, sexy, and flawless all at once. I hope I would too with that much money!
