Dieting and eating right are certainly important keys to any successful weight loss story, but so too are working out and exercising.
Â
And I attribute a lot of my success (in case you haven’t heard yet, I’ve lost 15 pounds in eight weeks!) on this weight loss journey to my exercise routine – because as you all know, I am obsessed with working out! (In the healthiest of ways possible, I promise.)
Â
And when I say obsessed, I mean that I run every day. And I also do my Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred workout video every day as well. I do so to get some cardio in and exercise my leg and arm muscles.
Â
But that doesn’t mean that I’m not interested in trying new exercises or work out routines, because I am! I’m always looking to spice things up, try something new and work out some muscles that I haven’t been.
Â
So when my friend posted a workout called the “100 Workout” on my Facebook wall, I jumped at the chance to try it out. (Thanks, Kirsten!)
Â
In case you’re wondering what exactly the “100 Workout” is, here’s a breakdown of everything that goes into this exercise routine:
Â
The 100 Workout:
- 100 Jumping Jacks
- 90 Crunches
- 80 Squats
- 70 Leg Lifts
- 60 Jumping Jacks
- 50 Crunches
- 40 Squats
- 30 Leg Lifts
- 20 Jumping Jacks
- 10 Minutes Running
Now let me tell you all something as someone who tried this workout routine for the first time last night – it’s no joke! It’s challenging, intense and tiring! It strains a lot of different parts of your body and it keeps you going for at least 20 minutes.
Â
But, given all of that, it’s actually a REALLY great work out: it’s not all that time intensive (20 minutes, in the grand scheme of things, isn’t long at all!), it can be completed literally anywhere and it really does work out your body!
Â
And after doing this routine, I was exhausted, but in the best way possible! I could tell that I had worked out some important muscles in my body, and today I was even a little sore from doing it. (Which is always a good sign of a great work out from the day before).
Â
So if any of you out there are looking to get some good exercise in a short amount of time, challenge your body and give a new work out routine a try, I suggest trying this one out!
Â
I promise you won’t be disappointed that you did.
