Lose the Freshman 15: Pump it Up! Part 2

Hey collegiettes!  I hope you all have been having a better weekend than I have because I’ve spent mine writing papers and studying for exams.  All this time working has definitely increased my appreciation for music and a good playlist.  Nothing gets me through a study session like a solid selection of songs, just like how nothing can get me through a workout like some great exercise tunes.  Here are my latest favorites to pump myself up during a workout:

  1. Punching in a Dream – The Naked and Famous (Love this one for outdoor runs on a beautiful sunny day)
  2. Kiss You – One Direction
  3. POWER – Kanye West
  4. I’m a Believer – Smash Mouth (throwback!)
  5. Ultimate – Lindsay Lohan (Freaky Friday movie anyone?)
  6. My Own Worst Enemy – Lit
  7. I Could Be the One – Avicii, Nicky Romero
  8. Now or Never – Outasight
  9. Tongue Tied – Group Love
  10. Don’t Stop (Color on the Walls) – Foster the people
  11. Drive By – Train
  12. Wild Ones (feat. Sia) – Flo Rida
  13. Lights (Bassnectar Remix) – Elie Goulding

Any suggestions for songs for me to add?  If you’re still in school and studying like me, here are some of my favorite study jams:

  1. Hero – Regina Spektor (500 Days of Summer movie anyone?)
  2.  Your Hand in Mine – Explosion in The Sky (Friday Night Lights movie anyone?)  I love finding songs from movie soundtracks if you couldn’t tell!
  3. Cosmic Love – Florence + The Machine
  4. 90210 – Wale
  5. Mountain Sound – Of Monsters and Men
  6. No Faith in Brooklyn (feat. Jhameel) – Hoodie Allen, Jhameel
  7. Anything by Vitamin String Quartet

Music has definitely helped me get through this week!  It’s hard to stick to the diet during this stressful week, but I am doing my absolute best.  I am trying to listen to my tips, and follow the SELF Drop 10 diet!  Only two papers and two finals to go!  Good luck to all of you in your final assignments too!

Until Wednesday

xoxo
