Lose the Freshman 15: The Price of Slacking Off

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

I have a little problem collegiettes™.

Maybe it’s from the Saturday night rage.
Maybe it’s from the temporary change in my workout routine.
Maybe it’s from the stress of midterms. 1192445 51095811

I gained two pounds. Awesome right? Hardly. I’m currently down a total of 7 lbs. weighing 138 lbs.

Two pounds may not seem like a lot to you, but considering that I lost 4 lbs. in the first week, and 5 lbs. the second week, this is certainly a set back.

Not losing anything at all could have passed as slightly acceptable over gaining weight. In all honesty, I’ve been a huge worry-wart all day. Where did I go wrong? Of my three hunches, I’m leaning toward the many, many drinks from Saturday night. Though I had a lot of fun with friends, I now regret the choices I made. 198140 556374615429 177800262 31906260 432666 n

I’ve been working hard, really hard. I’ve done (or so I thought) a great job at resisting temptations, sticking to my routine, planning meals, the works. I thought giving myself a little bit of wiggle room to slack this past week was not only well-deserved, but not going to bite me in the butt since I’ve been doing so great.

I’m done worrying. I know exactly where I went wrong in my diet: my exercise and eating habits.
There’s no time for slip-ups! I need to get back on track. If you’d like to join me in my healthy, happy weight loss (and please do), go register for the Jump Start Diet on SELF.com and be sure to use the SELF logs to keep track of your daily workout and meals, which is an awesome way to keep track of your calorie intake and how much you’re burning off!
