Lose the Freshman 15: Kissing the “Freshman 15” Goodbye

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

Hey collegiettes™!

I haven’t been so worried or anxious about a weigh in since my first one two months ago when I came to the sad, horrific realization that I weighed 145 lbs and officially accepted that in my four years of college, I had not only gained a countless number of credits, but 25 lbs. as well.

Last week, I found out I was only one pound away from losing the dreaded “freshman 15”, and the first milestone in my quest to drop twenty 5 pounds. da5d53ca

So, this morning I stepped on the scale praying that it didn’t end in one of these two scenarios: (1) After a week of strict dieting and cardio, I didn’t lose a single pound or (2) I gained back last week’s weight loss of 2 pounds.

Luckily, neither of the two happened! I lost 2 pounds and can proudly say that I HAVE LOST THE FRESHMAN 15! There’s literally no way for me to even begin to describe how I feel other then “duh, winning.” Seriously, I am so happy. Weighing in today at 130 lbs. is something I haven’t seen since sophomore year, can you believe it?

My success isn’t the best part about this day either! Fellow bloggers Nikki and Sara have also reached their goals of losing the freshman 15! If that isn’t winning, I don’t know what is!

Not to toot my own horn… actually, nevermind, absolutely tooting my own horn, I will say that not only do I feel amazing, I’m looking amazing.

The dreaded freshman 15 weight didn’t magically fall off of me though. My happy, healthy weight loss was sometimes a pain in the butt not giving into temptations and sticking with the Jump Start Diet meals and fitness, but in the end, it’s absolutely worth it.

If you’d like to join me in my healthy, happy weight loss (and please do), go register for the Jump Start Diet on SELF.com and be sure to use the SELF logs to keep track of your daily workout and meals, which is an awesome way to keep track of your calorie intake and how much you’re burning off!
