Lose the Freshman 15: Happy Healthy Memorial Day

Hellllllooooo ladies!

This weekend marks the unofficial start to summer and I plan on bringing in my favorite season with a bang. But, just because I plan are pool hopping from party to party this weekend, doesn’t mean I am going to be splurging on all that junky party food. We got less than one week left ladies! I am not trying to ruin all the hard work I put in so far in one week.

To stay on track I’ve been planning out some tips to utilize this weekend! Check them out below!

1. Make the veggies tray your go to stop at the snack table: Loading up on veggies will keep you full through out the day without the unnecessary calories. Beware of the fatty ranch dips that we often douse our veggies in. If you must, keep your dressing use to one or two teaspoons.

2. Bring the healthy dessert: Make a festive memorial day treat by making a red, white, and blue flag out of lite whipped cream, blueberries, and strawberries. Just start with a base of whipped cream in any size glass pan, then use the blueberries and halved strawberries to make the stars and stripes of the America flag. Easy, cute, and healthy!

3. Spend more time in the pool than munching: Swimming is one of the best ways to get your fitness in for the day. If you don’t have time to do your Self Drop 10 workout during the holiday, then make sure you hit the pool for some water games.  You’ll burn numerous calories without even realizing it!

What are you favorite party going health and fitness times? Let me know in the comments!
